We are a locally owned small business. Located in downtown Carlsbad we bring to the table sandwiches in different varieties. Which Include your classic Subs, Paninis and focaccia sandwiches. A few pizza options are available, but sell out quick! Being mostly Italian inspired, we strive to bring something a little different into the area for the local people and the occasional “passer by”.

What a delightful spot that we just happened upon on our way through Carlsbad to get to our AirBnb!
Fresh, delicious ingredients. Sandwiches and pizzas were made-to-order. Several dessert options that were irresistible. Absolutely loved our classic pepperoni pizza and ultimate grilled cheese with basil pesto & sun-dried tomatoes! Both were cooked perfectly. The pizza was a very good size that I shared with my toddler and infant. I’m a bit hard to please for pizza (a lot I will tolerate, rare to find a good one), but this one was stellar!
The staff were lovely and so thoughtful! They offered my toddler a coloring book and a box of crayons while we waited for our food. The owner/manager talked with us and gave my hungry infant an applesauce pouch on-the-house. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. We did not feel rushed by staff even though we came in 30 minutes before close. Just an adorable spot with amazing food and service!
We have 2 more nights in town, and my husband and I have already discussed going back 1-2 more times! It was that good!

This is definitely a great spot for lunch. I had the GOAT sandwich and it was highly satisfying. The Oreo Cannoli has a great way to wrap up lunch.

Stopped by for lunch after visiting the Carlsbad Caverns National Park and had the 3 Lil’ Pigs, which was amazing! The focaccia bread was warm, fresh and flavorful!!

Found our way here after looking for meal options with a night in Carlsbad. Unassuming place, but man did the food deliver!! Both sandwiches we got were incredible, as was the cannoli. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely stop here if we ever pass through Carlsbad again!

Great place for a bite, we went for dinner. They had several vegetarian options and and was clearly labeled. Try the grilled cheese with jalapeno pesto or multiple other options including paninis. The workers were very attentive and even overhead me talk about how I wanted to try the “better than Reese” sandwich from their menu … And brought me one on the house! Thank you so much, that’s great service. Few tables for seating as well and easy parking next door.

We stopped at Aquino’s for lunch after visiting Carlsbad Caverns and goodness they did not disappoint! Their sandwiches and flat bread pizza (not pictured) were delicious! Makes me want to drive all the way to Carlsbad for another sandwich this is definitely a place you want to try while in town! Very friendly staff, delicious food, and great service!

This place is awesome. Great bread, meat, cheese, and other additions. I had the prosciutto and fig jam focaccia sandwich, and my partner had “the soldier.” Both were excellent, and there were a lot of other compelling menu items. Vibes were very laid back, casual. Perfect lunch spot, especially after a hike.

First of all, it was hard to pick because they have so many delicious options. Everyone was very nice to us when we stopped in. It was my daughter’s birthday, and they gave her as many pickle spears as she wanted. It was super nice of them and made her day. They customized everything how we needed or wanted. I loved my panini and the rest of my family enjoyed their food as well. It was very filling. They had a nice clean seating area and clean bathrooms as well.

you don’t gotta be Italian to enjoy the Italian vibes of this simple deli style sandwich shop with a lot to offer. I have had almost everything on the menu and I’m never let down. From a simple fig and prosciutto on focaccia to a huge godfather sub. Nothing disappoints. Every dessert is amazing ESPECIALLY the pistachio cannoli. This is a top three restaurant of mine very much a 10/10.

Absolutely loved my experience at Aquino’s in Carlsbad, New Mexico! The Nero pepperoni pizza is a game-changer—packed with mountains of pepperoni and bursting with flavor. It’s definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! I also tried the pastrami Panini with sauerkraut and Swiss, and it was nothing short of amazing. The perfect combination of flavors! If you’re in the area, you have to check out Aquino’s. Highly recommend it! ✨
