Aqui bar and kitchen in Fort Lauderdale is a gem – Facebook

I have been to Aqui twice this week and both times were wonderful. The chicken tempura bowl with orange sauce was fresh and delicious.

This place was pretty good. Started with the nachos which were my least favorite of all the dishes but still not bad. The orange chicken bao was delicious they use white meat and it’s juicy. The filet bao was probably my favorite it was marinated and cooked perfectly. And last but not least I did the citrus chicken bowl with half rice and half hummus. The chicken was juicy, cooked well, and the hummus was delicious. I definitely will be going back.

Stopped by during lunch for some apps. Stephanie was our server and she was super nice and attentive. Quiet lunch, business was light but the ambiance was cute and casual. The food was great- we shared a few apps including the wings, dip platter & the edamame. All were hits & I’d recommend each! They have a cool happy hour program, as well as a Taco Tuesday deal, Ladies Night & an ITB day. Their cocktail offerings are slammin- including a menu of Old Fashions. I’ll definitely be back during a happy hour to try some of their margs & more food.

What a wonderful dining experience. My friends took me to Aqui to celebrate my birthday last night. It is a beautiful space both indoors and out. Very spacious bar area. The owner Geno could not have been more attentive. He came to our table several times to describe the menu, make recommendations and to check on us between courses. The food was amazing, beautiful bursts of flavor in each bite. We ordered the chicken wings, brussels sprouts, a customized Asian bowl and the lamb kabobs! Highly recommend Aqui.

This restaurant/bar is simply outstanding! The ambiance is great with a perfect blend of a relaxed atmosphere and a lively vibe. The outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying the warm Florida weather and soaking up the energy of the city.

The food is exceptional and definitely some of the best in the area. The three scratch kitchens each offer unique and authentic dishes that are incredibly flavorful and satisfying. Whether you’re in the mood for spicy Mexican cuisine, savory Asian dishes, or delicious Mediterranean fare, this place has got you covered.

But what really sets this restaurant apart is the amazing service provided by Ericka. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like VIPs. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on and really added to the overall experience.

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant/bar enough! The food, ambiance, and service are all top-notch and make for an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re in the Fort Lauderdale area, you absolutely must check out this gem in Flagler Village.

First time coming here and was pleasantly surprised on how great the service was. The food didn’t take longer than 10 minutes to arrive and is made with passion!! I was blown away by my cakes and chicken entrée which had a chicken fillet so crispy and juicy I ordered another to go! New favorite brunch spot in the city!

Not ready to be open. We were sat outside in extreme humidity and heat with no fans/misters etc…. It’s not even summer yet. This is not on the ocean, it is surrounded by buildings, there’s hardly any airflow. The entire place was empty except for one table and we were sat next to that table. The hostess that sat us had no personality or common sense. Eventually we requested to be placed inside because it was too hot. We ordered food, drinks, and tap water. The first round of food took 54 minutes to arrive, we were one of only two tables. The food was delicious! Only problem, cutting some of the items (including thick avocado toast and French toast) with a plastic knife and fork that couldn’t handle the task. I ended up eating with my hands, it was more efficient. We ordered a juevos rancheros which mentioned nothing about meat on it. When it arrived, the server tried to show me on the menu that it was there, pointing to cotija. I politely explained that was cheese not what she said was buffalo shoulder. The drinks were actually pretty good, though my friend ordered the same drink twice and got two different drinks. After pointing it out, the server said “no that’s the same drink with a different garnish.” My friend is a GM at a hotel and was a bartender in New Orleans for several years and never complains. I trust his word that the drink was different. At the end we noticed a charge for each refill of tap water we had. The manager comped that item but told us that they use a special filtration system. We politely pointed out that nowhere on the menu does it say there’s a charge for water and the server did not mention this. It wasn’t much but more the principal. Instead of apologizing she told us that now we know for the future. It seems like they have a lot to learn about hospitality. They can make French toast if you have an hour to wait but the food taste is about the only thing they have going for them, and that’s only if they bring out the same item you ordered on the menu.

Would have been nice to see the manager before the end when she begrudgingly took tap water off our bill.

Lastly, be prepared to pay downtown parking prices at this midtown location.

Excellent eating experience!!
From walking in the door and being greeted by their great staff to seated and drink order taken. Speed of service was on point. Meal was served hot and excellent taste… The menu is out of this world! Everything in the menu is made from scratch. I love that they are eco-friendly! Love this place!

WOW! Food is excellent!!! Choose from three types of foods Mexican, Asian, Mediterranean all on one place. This visit we chose Mexican. Our appetizer- we shared Puebla Queso dip…yum…perfect app for three to share. Taco choices were Blackened shrimp, Tempur shrimp, Al Pastor, Short Rib tacos were all absolutely delicious and I can not say enough about the cilantro sauce that was delicately yet generously drizzled over each taco to perfection. Our son also ordered the Calle burrito which was stuffed with beef, rice, beans, and a plantain covered with queso and that wonderful, in house made, cilantro sauce. For dessert…tres leches! The service was impeccable, the friendly and professional staff was so gracious during our visit. They definitely work as a fabulous team to create an inviting atmosphere.
Lastly, they offer a fantastic 25% discount to all US Military Veterans.
This is a must do restaurant. It is now a staple for me and my family.

BTW: bathrooms are clean and very techie…hand free amenities.

Plant-based options!
It’s my second time visiting Aqui Bar & Kitchens, and it definitely will be a third, fourth, fifth, etc. It is a very relaxed and casual place to have a good meal or drink all by yourself, with your girlfriend, wife, or with friends or family. I am not a food connoisseur, but the size of my belly should be enough to convince you that I know what I’m talking about. So far, I have tried the: Medi-Yogourt, Falafel, Hummus, Tofu Kabob, Plant-based Taco, Puebla Queso Dip, Persian Ice Cream, Cheung’s Asian Cake Brulee, and Tres Leches. The food does not disappoint! I’m impressed with all the flavors and textures from the three different kitchen options they offer (Asian, Mediterranean, and Mexican). As a vegetarian, I’m pleased that I still have plenty of plant-based alternatives to keep choosing, like the Plant Base Chicken Bao and Falafel Pita Wrap. The service is excellent, and the waiters constantly try to help without being overwhelming. Give them a try; your belly will thank you.
