I had the oxtail plate with cabbage, rice, yams and a cornbread muffin. The seasoning and flavor were on point. The oxtails gravy was delicious but the oxtails were not fall off the bone tender. The cornbread muffin stood out as real cornbread very butter tasting but not sweet bread aka jiffy. The yams were great sweet but not too sweet. My wife had smothered white meat chicken and she said the meat was dry as if the gravy was just poured over it. But she did say it was seasoned great. Let the gravy soak into the meat. Dinner was delicious but the peach cobbler was horrible. I got two small pieces of peaches and the breading was just a mushy mess.

Plenty of parking in the front and on the sides. The younger guy who took my to-go order was really nice. This place was really clean.
I had the veggie plate. I wasn’t impressed but would give this place a second try.
Mac&cheese: 1000/10 Best I’ve had in life!
Collards: Flat with no taste. Could use some vinegar and grease or texture from a piece of meat
Yams: Prepare for diabetic shock. WAY to sweet
Rice: Not pictured but no gravy only some onions? Or maybe there was a light film or gravy?
Consider gravy on the side in a separate container.
Lastly, was told I’d get bread. No bread.

The food and the service were great. I forgot to take a photo of the stuffed catfish, yams, & potato salad before I began eating. The potato salad was ok but I didn’t like the peels being left on the potato and it lacked seasoning. The seafood eggrolls were divine! I will most definitely be back.

The food here is AMAZING!! If you’re looking for authentic Soulfood without all the pork or beef cooked in your veggies, then this is the place for you. I’ve gone here twice and without disappointment. The food is well seasoned and the portions are very hearty. I don’t eat beef or pork but the smothered chicken and the smothered turkey wings…OMG! I highly recommend this place. The price is also comproable for the amount of food that is served. The sweet tea and Arnold Palmer outstanding, just the way a southern drink is to be made.

For this to be my first time it wasn’t as bad as the reviews made it seem. I was a little skeptical, because of the reviews however, I was hungry and wanted something good! Really came in for the catfish and I am picky when it comes to mine! But I can say I was happy, even tried the special stuffed catfish. I’m happy and I tasted it in store before I left. Definitely glad I checked my plate before leaving to make sure I had everything.

This restaurant is so inconsistent. Sometimes it’s good and most times it’s terrible. I placed a pickup order on DoorDash. When I get there to pick it up nobody acknowledged me and the hostess was on the phone speaking to a customer but none of the other workers came up and even acknowledged me. The girl pauses the phone conversation for a moment and asks me an I here to pickup I said yes and mind you I’m looking at my food it’s on the pick up stand they had right behind her. Then instead of looking and handing me the bag she walks away. When she returns she hands me the bag and I ask if there condiments in the bag. She says no. This is the only restaurant I’ve been to that doesn’t ask if you want condiments. The food itself disgusting the Mac and cheese doesn’t even looked baked it’s gloopy and cold. The dressing is beyond salty, y’all could literally kill someone. The yams and fried fish seem to always remain consistent in flavor. I ordered the peach cobbler and it was given to me ice cold…..that is a baked dessert, I’m confused ? Overall experience today horrible and honestly enough not for me to come back.
