Pulled pork nachos – so, so good.

If you’re hungry, go to Applewood and you won’t be! The portions are huge. The cost is average. And the food is great. We’ve been here a couple of times. It’s worth the drive. We had a $10 appetizer as well and our bill for appetizer, three entrees and unlimited drinks was only $58.00 It was so much food we had to take some home! Great value for the money.

Slightly off the beaten path, and worth every second of the stop. Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had, period (and one us is a world traveller so that says something!). The protein portions were unreal, and with the taste and for the price it was going for..? I promise, you will not be disappointed.
One day we’ll make the trek back as a “white out” game is on the bucket list, and I can assure you we’ll look to make a stop in Penfield

First time checking out Applewood BBQ & Grill! So many people had told us how good it was and they were right!!! Service was prompt and extremely friendly. My wife and I shared a brisket sandwich and pork nachos. Both were incredible!! If you are in the area, I highly recommend Applewood BBQ & Grill!

We tried again for the third time, unfortunately still very disappointed. Last night we went, my husband’s burger was so over cooked it crunched. Our daughters grilled cheese was not melted and her baked potato was not cooked all the way. My loaded nachos had just a small chunk of meat and a big chunk of fat. With brisket being on the menu it was not even available. Service was horrible, had to remind the waitress my husband didn’t get his beer and she never once came over and seen if we needed drinks (only was worried if he wanted another beer) and didn’t even ask how the meal was.

Great little place for some scrumptious food. Brisket and more. I just had the loaded chips appetizer and added brisket. A meal in itself! Down to Earth folks who love this country and haven’t forgotten the 13 lost in Afghanistan unlike Brandon has. God Bless!!

Had the platter with ribs with a side of onion rings, plus side of fries. Chicken quarter was the best of the meats. Pulled pork and ribs were pretty good, but brisket was a bit dry. The major letdown was the super oily, soggy, and undercooked fries and the onion rings with strong taste due to old cooking oil. At least the onion rings were crispy, but still a bit greasy probably due to not being cooked in hot enough oil. The BBQ sauce provided was a bit spicy, which was unexpected for a house BBQ sauce. Got takeout, but it didn’t come with utensils or napkins.

Fantastic food and Fantastic service. Anytime I call they are willing to put together a large order with little to no notice. I highly recommend stopping by and trying the pulled pork and the BBQ sauce.

Returning home to VA after picking up a new car and found this on the map. Let me say, if you are ANYWHERE within an hour you better stop. This is some of the hands down best BBQ I have ever had. Meats smoked perfectly, sauce was outstanding, food was worth every penny.
