Everything was delicious!! The chicken salad has a bit of celery in it and I still enjoyed it, even though I don’t like celery. I was weary of the banana nut bread with cream cheese but it was much better than expected and had a “dessert” vibe to the flto go. The open faced Ruben was also good and their “Friendship Tea” was delicious!! It came hot or cold and we even brought a few cups of it togo.

If you are anywhere near Knoxville, TN you MUST stop in. This is more than a tea room. It is place to go for home made breakfast, brunch or lunch with a Southern atmosphere. The food is delicious. The friendly owner is onsite making sure everything is done right. We like it so much we came back. Try the pineapple boat with pineapple, chicken salad, banana bread & chips, our favorite.

I wanted to like this place, but I was severely disappointed. I came upon this place after realizing kraken’s cup was closed. They call themselves a room, so it was very surprising to see they only have three types of tea. I ordered an orange spiced tea, and when I took a sip it was extremely sweet. I couldn’t finish the pot due to the sweetness. I ordered a bowl of potato soup and it came out lukewarm and tasted like a cambells chunky soup was topped with bacon and cheese. I also ordered a side of glazed fruit thinking it would be similar to the type you see on top of a tart. Maybe this is a dish I’m unfamiliar with but it was fruit covered in a grainy thick sauce that did not taste very good. 20 minutes in and with none of my food done or even my first cup of tea done my waitress Kayla comes with the check, which I felt was inappropriate. She passed by my table several times after to see if I’d paid ( I didn’t want to be rushed out). She started clearing my plates of unfinished food (which I also thought was inappropriate without asking). She eventually let up, and in the end I walked myself to the cashier to pay the bill. Although the decor is lovely and the lady at the cash register was very sweet, I will not be returning.

Great food and service in a quaint vintage style tea room. We got the chicken salad and stuffed potato. Both were delicious.

I loved eating here with my husband and toddler! The atmosphere is so homey. The food was delicious. I loved the chicken salad sandwich and my husband got the taco salad, which he really liked.
I also had the friendship tea hot, which was amazing and I absolutely recommend.
The portions were perfect too.
Everyone was very friendly. I’m so glad we stopped by!

Noted for the decor, which is quaint, warm, and inviting. I just wish I could say the same about the food. I had the potato soup, which was barely lukewarm when it arrived. The server did bring another, which was hot, but the flavor was bland. A little surprising, considering it had bacon bits and cheese. The chicken salad sandwich was not much better. Rather plain with no extras, like grapes, celery, or apple bits. Maybe I picked the wrong menu items. Doesn’t matter. I’m not going back. Located on Campbell station Rd in a log cabin style building. Traffic usually heavy in that area.

My mom and I stopped here on our way through town. We were excited because, with it being called a tea room, we were expecting a variety of piping hot teas in large teapots, delicious English inspired tea cakes and sandwiches, etc. We ordered English breakfast tea and it came out in a small pot, string bags already in the mugs and lukewarm water at best. It tasted like Twinnings or Lipton instead of a lovely English tea. The pot held about two cups. The fruit salad with glaze on the Medley tasted like can fruit and some kind of pie filling. The pumpkin bread with cream cheese filling was ok, but didn’t taste homemade and the bread seemed like it had been refrigerated instead of baked in house. Thr chicken salad was pretty good but instead of cracker varieties to eat it with, it is served with Ruffles potato chips. It would have been ok if the price wasn’t as high as it was for what it was. We also had soup and but the French onion and potato soup tasted like a package instead of in house, and both were cold. . Again, for the price, we expected something more authentic. We don’t recommend.

I didn’t know what to think of this place when we first arrived. It looks like a grandmother cabin equipped with knickknacks and wooden chairs.

Our server was friendly and arrived to our table within a reasonable time frame. We ordered the sampler plate that came with chicken salad, fruit salad, banana bread with cream cheese and potato chips. It tasted great and we ate every bite.

The menu is limited with sandwiches, salads and soups but if you like this kind of fare it does taste very good. We will be back again!
