This place is consistently good and affordable. My wife and I come here at least once a month because they dont have a location in Midland-Odessa. The service is excellent and the beer is nice and cold! I love the pretzel sticks with the beer cheese, phenomenal! Definitely recommend if your in Hobbs!

Celebrating a 1 year wedding anniversary. The waitress only saw us when she took our order. Chips and artichoke dip took 15 to 20 minutes to be delivered to our table. Our two glasses of sweet tea were never refilled. Only saw the manager as soon as we sat down. Larger parties were taken care of before people who where here before them. We have been here an hour before the party in front of us and ordered dessert as soon as our main course arrived. 30 minutes later with no dessert, but the party beside us got their food within 15 minutes.

The waitress was really nice but she was hardly at our table. She was either in the kitchen or taking orders from other tables bigger than mine (understanderble, my table was a party of two and there were several parties of 4 or more people). We ordered the wings and mozzarella sticks along with some cutlery. We finished the wings and most of the mozzarella sticks when the cutlery finally came.
And when I asked to take my iced tea to go, she offered to get me a fresh tea. That would have been nice if she had gotten me the right drink. Instead of iced tea (or any tea), I was given a togo cup filled with what i think was Coca-Cola.
I think this was an issue with understaffing or badly scheduled shifts, because she seemed to be the only waitress working. But again i don’t know whats happening behind the scenes.
Good food but be aware there might be some mistakes.

Got seated and waited about 30 minutes to get attended. Our waiter was new but we loved him and nothing about this is his fault! But we then waited another 30-40 minutes to get our food and for it to be cold. Talked to the manager and he said the best he could do was give us 20% off when we didn’t eat. Paid and was getting in our vehicle and saw the manager through the window trying some of our wings! So disgusting.

Just went in and we got seated quickly but then I don’t know if it’s because we are white but we waited and waited for a good half hour or more and never even got our drinks ordered! because we were ignored! literally the waitress didn’t even even acknowledge us! And of course we were the only white people in there and this isn’t new every time we have been in EVERY ONE gets good service except us! It’s absolutely disgusting!!!!!

Food was tasty, and hot. Almost everything else was bad.

– Entry door outside handle caked thick with grime.
– Immediately greeted and seated. Table and chairs were clean.
– Server didn’t notice us – too busy watching football.
– Eventually server came to the table, and politely took our order.
– Bathroom seemed tidy and stocked.
– Drinks were quickly delivered.
– Food arrived acceptably about 10 minutes later.
– Silverware was absolutely disgusting and filthy.
– Knife so dirty, it was literally glued to the napkin. Tried to get more silverware, but server still watching football. Grabbed some little drink napkins from the railing, and wiped down the forks.
– Rim of plate around the food seemed greasy and spotty.

Dirty plates and silverware is usually the result of multiple issues:
1) poorly maintained dishwasher.
2) cheap chemicals and insufficient hot water.
3) improper pre-cleaning of dinnerware.
4) too many pieces of silverware in the tray at one time.
5) inadequate training and poor management

A ceiling tile was removed over a table several feet away, and lying on top of adjacent ceiling tiles. In the light, it was easy to see particles of debris drifting down through the opening.

The general manager was walking around the restaurant talking to customers. As a manager, it seemed she took little pride in her appearance. She was untidy, unimpressive, and seemingly unfocused on the restaurant activities.

Many staff members seemed to spend most of their time on their phone, or joking & flirting with each other.

It’s amazing Applebees spends so much on advertisement, but can’t get the basics right. Maybe if management trained staff to focus on the guest experience instead of serving their own self interest, more customers would come back.

IMHO, this Applebees is a good example of absent management, poor training, oblivious staff, complacent attitudes, and lack of commitment.

Thank you for your reply. However, I have no desire to paste an unknown link into my browser, no desire to provide more information, and definitely no desire to discuss or debate this review with your “Hobbs team.” I suggest not leaving these issues in the hands of your “Hobbs team.” IMHO that would be a mistake. This Applebees has been like this for years, and seems to be the culture of the restaurant – sometimes better, sometimes worse.
There is a fairly new Texas style steakhouse in Hobbs. It is usually packed. The food is always great, and the service is normally quite good. It is my first choice for dining out in Hobbs NM, but on this occasion I wanted a change.
So I chose to go to Applebee’s, because the menu is quite tasty when done right! Unfortunately, the bad service eclipsed everything else. How embarrassing for me. How embarrassing for you.
I want nothing from this review other than to highlight a problem, and hopefully inspire positive change. Hobbs is in serious need of another serious restaurant. Good luck.

We were welcomed and seated quickly. The place was clean, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was good. The only downside was that our burger was a bit dry, but overall it was a good experience.

Was definitely the worst experience I ever had . The chip and dip that came out was not good chips old the dip was cold. When they brought out the food the chicken was burnt dry. They forgot my son’s food had to remind them it was missing. My son did not wanna eat his yogurt and strawberries I was wondering why it was bc the yogurt was rotten spoiled. Definitely won’t be going back there

Terrible experience last night. My husband and I use to work in food service so we know it can be hectic and stressful. The restaurant was not busy but it took 45 minutes for us to get spinach and artichoke dip. The table behind us came in 20 minutes after us and got their appetizer before us! Then of course the food came only a few minutes later. I got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp and it was not good. All I could taste was char. The picture showed cheese on the chicken which probably would have cut out some of the char taste but mine came without cheese. We were there for almost an hour and a half and it just wasn’t a good experience. $60 later and I was still hungry
