The appetizer was ok but then my chicken tender salad was bad. The lettuce was literally rotten and all brown and the whole salad only consisted of lettuce cheese and the chicken. There wasn’t even any tomatoes. I was only able to eat the chicken. Was super disappointed that I wasn’t offered a replacement or discount when I mentioned that it was bad. I usually like Applebees but I do NOT recommend this location.

Our server didnt get our drink order for at least 10 minutes. They weren’t slammed. After waiting a solid 40 minutes we finally got our food only for the green beans to be seriously undercooked because they had no broccoli. Then the server after dropping our food at the table did not return until she was dropping the check. I was literally only able to eat the steak and GB because mashed potatoes spike my blood sugar. They gave me new green beans to go so I am eating them in the car on the way home. The server never stopped back and asked if everything was good…. had she I would have requested them to eat WITH my steak. Not impressed with the food or the service.

My 93-year-old mother and I have visited Applebee’s in Sedalia a few times over the past year, and our experiences have generally been positive. However, our most recent trip was disappointing.
We arrived during a quieter time, with less than a handful of guests… Mom requested a coffee (it was 6 degrees sands snowing out), the waitress informed us that they were out of coffee until their delivery truck arrived. It felt as though we were more of an inconvenience than valued guests.
We waited half an hour for our order of a salad and a bowl of soup. To be honest, the salad seemed like a random assortment of whatever ingredients were available, far from the quality we had enjoyed before. The breadstick was hard and stale, and at $15 for the salad, it felt overpriced.
In the end, we finished our meal and left, sensing that they might have been low on several items. We would have preferred to be informed about the lack of freshness instead of being served what felt like old food.
Unfortunately, this turned us off enough that we won’t be going back anytime soon.

First I wanna say that my experience at this restaurant wasn’t lacking due to my waitress or the food both of those were amazing, thank you Irina for your amazing service today! But to the woman who I’m pretty positive was either the manager or shift lead, you ma’am are rude, condescending, and absolutely terrible at being professional I was appalled at your lack of people skills or the skills to lead your crew.

This happened the last time we were here and I said I would never come back. Against my better judgement, we tried again today. Over 30 minute wait to be seated. I get it if there weren’t tables available but the reality is that there were MANY tables available. They were not seating people because “their kitchen was backed up.”
Get people sat down, get them their drinks. Be customer service oriented!
Several families left after sitting or standing in the entrance for no reason. Lots of revenue lost. Poor management.

2 Stars cause the staff was friendly. Other than that the drinks were terrible, food took over 30 min to come out ‘2 of us’ Wasn’t busy at all. For half the price you can eat well at Mexican and drinks are always good

Everything that we ordered was not what we expected. We sent the pickled fries back. They looked all broken up and was dark like the oil needed to be changed. The baby back ribs were tough and the chicken fedachinni, well to say he barely touched it. Will not go back. It used to be good there.

Usually when we are in sedalia we go to Applebee’s and get great service and food. Not so today. The French onion soup was cold. The entrées were so lo g under the heat lamp that the top of the food was Luke warm and dried out. The waiter made us wait extensively for everything. Not happy with Applebee’s in sedalia anymore.

Over 10 minutes wait to get my debit card back (after it was swiped and I got a text notification) and i had to hunt him down to get it back. Then had to wait longer for the to go box. We dont go here often and tonight reminded us of why. Extremely pink “well” steak. Almost 50 bucks for very mediocre food and worse service.

I had a special situation in which I was trying to do a good deed for somebody who had had hardships by getting them a gift card and ordering curbside for them. I did not live in Sedalia but lived out of town. The manager at Sedalia Applebee’s whose name is Rachel went out of her way to accommodate me and help me with my needs their at Applebee’s. She was kind, professional, and obliging! I would definitely frequent this Applebee’s at this location.
