First off let’s say service was excellent by all 3 that helped us plus the food omg the cooks they had last night was fabulous when you ask for a steak a certain way and they nail it flavor outa this world we have 5 different plate orders plus appetizers and drinks and everything was great drinks was spot on and thought about more but we decided to stay with just one and rave about the food as they did great we will be back and yes we did and always do tip well for great service and food ill try to add the 2 pics I did manage to get i was to happy with appetizers to think about the great steak and shrimp I had ohhh im ready for another one already if that tells ya how good mine was im very picky about my steaks and this right here was a great pick.

This franchise should be ashamed of this establishment in this area. The floors are missing tile. Everything was sticky, the atmosphere was trash. The servers we’re perfect, gentlemen. I have nothing to say about the staff. These people deserve a lot better. Establishment to work in and if the company Applebee’s really appreciated their workers, they would put more money into this establishment. Do better.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. The queso was served cold, and that pretty much set the tone for the entire meal. Half of the food arrived cold, and the overall food quality was awful — nothing tasted fresh or well-prepared.
What made it even worse was the atmosphere. Multiple waiters and employees were swearing openly in front of our kids, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable for a family restaurant.
Service was also severely lacking. No one ever came by to refill our drinks, and it felt like we were forgotten once the food hit the table.
To top it all off, the bathrooms were terrible — dirty and poorly maintained, which only reinforced how little attention this place pays to basic standards.
Overall, a very bad experience from start to finish. We won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone, especially families.

Oh my gosh they have went down hill. We were like the only people in there and after being seated waited 10 minutes and no one helped us. They were more concerned with cleaning and running around doing whatever. Then another couple walks in were seated and immediately were given drinks. Still no one helped us, not even took our drink order. So we left.

Had boneless wings and cheese sticks for appetizers and they were good. Had the Bourbon Street steak with green beans for main coarse. Green beans were good. Steak was way over done. Not once did the waitress ask how the food was. This was the first time I had been at the Cape Girardeau location in 8 years because the previous 3 times were all bad experiences. Have eaten at one in Wentzville several times and always good. Will never go back to the one in Cape Girardeau. Do not recommend going to the one in Cape Girardeau

Applebee’s is a mediocre at best location, and that’s fine when everything goes smoothly. However, I have terrible experiences at this Applebee’s in particular with lazy and confrontational staff. Not only have I had an incident where it took and hour to get served and no silverware or drinks were provided to the table before entrees arrived with a guest of mine going and getting some for us because the servers never paid attention.
But after that I decided I wouldn’t dine in here anymore and when notified of an out of stock steak the offer was an extra side. Now tell me, in what would are your cheapest items, the sides, equivalent to 4oz of your highest margin item, the steak? No other comprise would be accepted so no I do not want any of the order because you cannot track your inventory properly.

I went to cape Girardeau Mo location. They were really short staff. Took along time to get in and get our food . Me and husband ordered medium well steak it was a little over cooked. They said food took awhile cause was still frozen before cooked it. Mostly it was out of there control. Hopefully they can get more help. I gave them 3-4 stars cause they tried there best !!!!!

Do Not Recommend. Staff was too busy counting tips and smoking in the bathroom to seat my family. We waited 2 hours for our food and it was soggy and cold. We weren’t asked once if we wanted refills on any of our drinks. Overall, they did awful.

Soooo went here on Christmas eve for some food with the family and we got our drinks. Them UFC fight night apparently was happening between the employees, they got into a fight and then argued with people wanting to leave and not feeling safe in the environment. We were there for like 20-30 minutes. Never got a chance to order food. People never got their food. Cops arrived after we left cash on the table for our drinks we never got straws for. I don’t know all the details but this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever been a part of. A couple wanted to leave too because they had only had drinks and an appetizer. They were there longer than us. I get its people working on holidays but this is unacceptable. Our waiter was nice to us and apologized to the couple (before they left, his mood kinda switched when they did). Thats honestly the only “decent” thing that happened tonight.
