I usually try to be patient when going out to eat, especially at a busy restaurant, but my experience at Applebee’s was beyond frustrating. From the moment we sat down, the service felt slow and disorganized, but what really pushed things over the edge was watching another table that arrived **after us** get their food **before we did**.

We were seated and ordered our food without any issues at first. The server seemed nice enough, and we didn’t think much of it when things took a little while—restaurants get busy, that’s understandable. But after sitting there for quite some time with no updates, we started to notice something that didn’t make sense. A group sat down behind us about **10 minutes after we had already been seated**. They ordered their food, and before long their meals came out… while we were still sitting there waiting.

At first we thought maybe they ordered something quick, but as more time passed it became obvious that something had gone wrong with our order. Watching another table that arrived later already eating while we still had empty plates in front of us was honestly pretty irritating. No one came over to explain the delay, apologize, or even give us an update on what was happening. We were just left sitting there wondering if our order had been forgotten.

What made the situation worse was the lack of communication. If someone had simply come over and said the kitchen was backed up or there had been a mistake, it would have gone a long way. Instead, we were left waiting much longer than expected with no explanation while other tables were clearly being served faster.

By the time our food finally came out, the experience had already been soured. When you go out to eat, you expect a reasonable wait and fair service. Seeing people who arrived later get served first just makes it feel like your table was overlooked.

I’m not someone who enjoys leaving negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that it felt worth mentioning. I hope management looks into their order system or kitchen coordination so situations like this don’t happen again. Good communication and fairness in service go a long way in making customers feel valued.

I placed a to go order an hour and a half before I scheduled to pick it up and my order was not ready until 30 min after the scheduled time. I understand that it was a busy Saturday night, but I feel that I gave plenty of time from when I ordered to when I scheduled pick up for my order to be prepared. , but my fries weren’t very warm and were a touch soggy, which was a little disappointing. My chicken sandwich was still warm though and was delicious. I did get a free dessert out of having to wait so long, which was nice, but I’d have liked to have a quick pick up. Several doordashers were in and out before I got my order. Staff were apologetic but could not give an estimated wait time. Like I said, I understand that it was busy but what is the point of scheduling a pick up and hour and a half in advance if it isn’t going to come out until 30 minutes after the pick up time?

All the dishes at Applebee’s are insanely delicious, especially the steaks — juicy, perfectly cooked, and absolutely mouth-watering

If you’re going to go, go at night. The staff is better. Went there twice around 2:30 – 3:00 and the service was terrible. All our server wanted to do was talk about concerts she was planning on going to and gossip about her other coworkers and guests all while completely ignoring her duties. Waited 20 plus minutes for drinks and we were seated in the bar. No excuse for such horrible service. However have gone later in the evening and had stellar service

**Disappointing Experience**

Wow—this was not a good visit at all. We’ve loved Applebee’s in the past, which makes this experience even more disappointing.

We went for dinner with two adults and two kids. Right from the start, there were issues with our order—one soda was never brought out, likely forgotten. Then we waited over **40 minutes** for our burgers, while two tables that arrived *after* us were served before we were.

When the food finally came, the problems continued. One kids’ burger was missing the requested ketchup and mustard. The other kids’ meal couldn’t be ordered because my child wanted waffle fries, which we were told aren’t allowed with kids’ meals. Instead of asking if we were okay with an alternative, an **adult burger (at adult price)** was ordered without our consent.

The mushroom burger and onion rings arrived **room temperature**, and my chicken burger didn’t come out until everyone else was almost finished eating. To make matters worse, we were charged for a salad that was **never brought to the table**.

Service was also lacking. The waitress barely made eye contact until it was time to bring the bill, offered no water refills, and never checked in to see if everything was okay. This was especially frustrating since the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

What is up with the low reviews? While this is not my greatest restaurant of all time, this is still yummy and very underrated.
The food was quite delicious and it was fun learning items on the trivia.
My only complaint is the waitress we had was somewhat rude and didn’t come back for us to see if we wanted anything else.
This rudeness is made up for the fact the food is quite yummy and the fun games you could play.
If there is no other place open when I would want to eat, I’d feel comfortable coming here.

My food was delicious (bourbon shrimp, chicken and mash) I would have preferred more mushrooms. Unfortunately, my partner’s pasta tasted a little off to us both as the sauce seemed extremely oily and it gave him a bit of a upset tummy. We also asked for mozzarella sticks after debating and deciding against trying the artichoke dip but the server misunderstood and put the dip on order. Not a huge problem as it was delicious. The wings were great. My first margarita, one of the ice cubes had some weird brown mush inside the actual cube. My partner swapped with me and we left the cube on the plate to be taken away but the server only said, eww, when she saw it. However, I really appreciate the foot grabber for the restrooms.

I came here with a hockey team of 30. I called ahead and they said they don’t take reservations but would accommodate us.

We were spread throughout the restaurant and a largest group of 12 did not receive their food after an hour and a half. The waitress hadn’t even submitted two of the players orders.

The food was really good! They just weren’t able to accommodate a group of our size.

We went into it excited and hungry. We ordered bread sticks, amazing 10/10 recommend, after that we were excited for our meal. 16 minutes later our food finally comes out my pasta looked like it was sitting there for 10 minutes and cold and the broccoli hard as a rock, my friend ordered a burger was also cold and very small meat for the bun also asked for plan and came with everything on it, and finally my other friend ordered a steak… came out looking like one side was cooked too long and the other side not even cooked, chewy and raw, asked the server to recook it for us and she did but it still came out chewy and the sides were cold.

So over all dont come here if u want a filling meal

I haven’t been to Applebee’s in years, so I decided to give it a whirl since I was staying next-door at the Hampton Inn. I walked in around 1015, and your closing time. The restaurant was pretty empty. Aside from a few people at the bar. I had to push a drink over so that I would have a space to sit at the bar seeing as it has not been cleared from previous guests. Not sure where the bartender was when I walked in but I waited a good five minutes before she showed up. Once she was there, Lily was great! I had half price Asian wings with ranch that were really good. I also had the sirloin which was a little on the top side, but flavored well. The potatoes and broccoli were excellent with it.
