If you haven’t been to an Applebee’s at least once in your life, I’m shocked. Nevertheless, I wanted to review this location and give the staff and management team a shout. We were feeling too lazy to cook and $53 fed our entire family. Two adult entrees, an app, two kids meals, drinks and desert. All done quickly with amazing service. The only points off for me was the entrees available for the current promotion. They’re a bit too indulgent for me, like the hamburger split in half and then cooked in a skillet of cheese? I ended up trying the hot honey chicken and the portion was quite small. A small chicken breast and six waffle fries. It wasn’t very filling considering my kids absolutely crushed the BBQ wings (they are tasty after all).

The hostess, Gaby, this evening was fabulous. My Mom walks with a cane, and even before getting inside, Gaby was holding the door open. She conversed with us while walking us to the table, just genuinely friendly. The great service didn’t stop there. Our server, Nicki, also excellent! answered all our questions and suggestions were great. The food was delicious and good portions. We’re so glad we chose this location.

I have a little girl and she had such a great time! Staff was incredible – Tim, Christine and Richard at the Cottage Grove location. Very kind and an awesome afternoon with a great, welcoming environment. I would definitely come back! Food hit the spot as well

UPDATE: The message below from the “owner”makes it look like they are concerned and want to look into what we experienced. I filled out the survey and received a follow up message saying someone would contact me. I still have not heard from anyone.
I would give no stars if I could, because we got no service. The reataurant was very slow and we were seated immediately. That was the extent of our service. That’s the last time any employee even looked at us. After sitting there for 10 minutes, I decided we’d give them 5 more minutes to at least acknowledge we were there. Three employees walked past us, one of them walked past twice. My wife smiled at two of them, they responded with nothing, not even a smile. We left. There were two other customers seated near us that were there before us, their menus were also on the edge of the table, and I assume they were waiting to order. Neither they or we had even been given water. So, the service was horrible. Even if they were shorthanded, which didn’t seem to be the case, the least they could have done was let us know, but we were literally ignored.
Now, I need to address the new menu options. They used to have decent options on the 2 for $25 menu. Not anymore. Now, you have to pay $2 extra just for a burger. What used to be 2 for $25 would now be 2 for $29, no drinks included. Plus, the last couple times we’ve gone, I noticed the fries that come with the meals are very small orders.
Applebees used to be a pretty decent option for our family. Not anymore, unfortunately.

Foods good but for 17$ I shouldn’t have to cut up my own chicken for my salad. It looked like everything was just thrown in there really fast. Even tho the order took 20min. Also pretty sure I ordered grilled chicken. Thanks Applebees

Niki is the best server ever! She knows what we all like to drink and eat and knows our kids by name. Great food and great service. We will be back soon! Manager was very nice, also!!

Such a wonderful team of employees. Logan was my server and he was so kind and patient. Shared that I was celebrating something important with him in casual conversation, and he brought several other employees to share in the moment with me. They made my night and dine in experience wonderful. 10/10, would return if i come back to the area!

Unfortunately a hair got into our food, gross, but it was an accident as we have been here many times. The manager and Stephen both were very kind and apologetic. They gave our entre to us for free and offered us a free dessert as well. Great customer service and the food turned out great too!
