I ordered a medium-rare steak for delivery, but they gave me a well-done one. I have always liked the Applebee’s Store in Ankeny. Their products have always been of very good quality.

Ordered the 2 for 25. I had the garlic 06oz sirloin and my guest had the 06oz sirloin. They both came with mashed potatoes and garlic broccoli. We both had the house salad as our appetizer Both steaks were cooked the way we requested. The mashed potatoes were good but the garlic broccoli had way too much garlic on them. Our server was new but extremely nice. When she didn’t know and answer she went and asked. Our total with drinks (soda) before tip was 26.75. So if ur looking for a bargain I would definitely 9/10 would recommend.

First of all, our waitress was awesome. She was very kind and helpful. I ordered food for there, and 2 meals to take home for my husband. I ordered the fiesta lime chicken to go. When I got home I opened the container and my chicken was burned black. It was so dry it was like eating toothpicks. No cilantro, no lime, and soggy tortilla strips with some kind of disgusting sauce under the chicken. We sat at a booth near the bar and the bartender was in a terrible mood. He was complaining about everything and had a negative attitude. After paying the $87 check, my daughter and I waited about 25 minutes for my to go order which turned out to be terrible as mentioned before. It was freezing in the restaurant as well. So great wait staff, terrible kitchen staff, and a bartender with an attitude that kind of ruined our happy family time.

I just have to write this review because one of the managers went above and beyond for us! We ordered our meal on DoorDash and watched the driver proceed to pick up and drop off other orders. We called Applebees to make sure our driver had actually grabbed our food and sure enough he did. Before my husband could say anything the manager informed us that for whatever reason DoorDash had changed our delivery time and that he knew our food would be cold. Without hesitation he had the chefs remake our order and he personally drove our meal to our house. He even included a dessert and refused to take any money from us!

I actually enjoy going to this Applebees, when I ask my daughters which restaurant they want to go to they always tell me Applebees! Staff is super nice and attentive, we live on the southside but drive through town and go to this one!

The price is decent for the amount of food that you get. But i’ve still left kind of hungry. All applebee’s really need to update their restaurants. My dad did not like the pasta that he got. His chicken was kind of rubbery and weird.

Even though not too busy at noon on Friday service could have been better. The food we ordered was good. However, I was sold on bacon, which cost extra, on my potato and the amount included had to be three or four very small pieces.

Went for my daughter’s 21st birthday party of 8. Took over an hr for the food to be served. Rarely a refill for drinks. After an hr and 10 min of waiting I asked when our food will be ready. They bring it out 5min later, the food was cold, sandwiches were soggy. Horrible experience never going back to this location.

Inedible. I’ve never had salmon so dry and rubbery, salmon is a fish that almost falls apart. This fish was solid and I could pick it up by the burnt ends of the filet. Usually order from here so must have got a new cook. Disappointed ☹️
