I recently had a delightful experience at Applebee’s Grill + Bar in Benton Harbor, Michigan! This family-friendly restaurant has clearly stepped up its menu over the years. With great food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place worth visiting.
The food: I sampled a few dishes, including the boneless wings, fish and chips, and a cheeseburger, and I was impressed! The bottomless fries were a fantastic addition—always hot and crispy. Each dish I tried was enjoyable.
The service truly stood out during my visit. Our server, Kandace, was attentive and cheerful, guiding us through the menu and ensuring our drinks were always filled. Her positive attitude made our meal even more enjoyable—thank you, Kandace!
As for the atmosphere, the restaurant was clean, well-designed, and spacious, which made for a comfortable dining experience. It definitely feels like a place that caters to families, and in a community like Benton Harbor, Applebee’s really shines.
Overall, my visit to Applebee’s Grill + Bar was a great experience! If you’re looking for a kid-friendly spot that’s also enjoyable for adults to grab a bite, catch a game, or simply relax, this restaurant is a fantastic choice.

My margarita and our spinach artichoke appetizer were delicious. The chicken Mediterranean salad was okay, but I definitely would not get it again. My husband said his burger was good. I was going to try it, but I saw that it was red in the center when it was supposed to be well done. Service was pretty slow, but our waiter, hostess, and a young lady who brought out the appetizer were all very nice.

Sarah C did a fantastic job. She was ready to get all of our food orders with our drinks and was very attentive to the details. Some wanted soup as a meal some before and everything was exactly as ordered. She was funny and friendly and kept up with our refills. NOBODY does a better impossible burger than Applebees. It is crispy and they rub it perfectly! So nice to see the patty given the love it deserves.

We got the 4 cheese chicken penne and The prime rib dipper, the food was amazing sauce for the pasta was nice and thin but still cheesy, My dad got the dipper and he said it was the best sandwich/French dip he’s ever had. Service was great no wait time, there was some construction going on in the back but not loud at all. Nice music playing the whole time. 10/10 going again

7/16 went for a quick bite with a friend ordered the classic combo appetizer and strawberry colada smoothie. Smoothie was delicious, appetizer was good. Server Sandy G was awesome. Clean restrooms.
Place was busy, waited for 1/2 hour to be seated. Relatively clean restrooms other than a few pieces of paper on the floor. Food was flavorful and served reasonably quick. Nothing jumped out as amazing but everything was delicious.

Love love coming here food always on point. Drinks are good and service is excellent. Especially Meagan she was a great server she pick the right profession…so cute and attentive also want to mention I don’t usually like ordering chicken at restaurants cus I feel like it’s under seasoned or dry but this Applebee’s has the best chicken and is so juicy … this was our second time there and it was amazing both times. Staff and people are great.

Good food, decent prices, and great service. I had the all-you-can-eat shrimp, riblets, boneless chicken, and endless fries. It was pretty good. My mom had a club sandwich and she said that it was good. Our server was awesome. Always a good time here.

For our last meal after a four-week vacation in the USA, we deliberately headed back to our favorite restaurant, Applebee’s. This one didn’t disappoint either; I even discovered some hidden gems on the menu, like the prime rib sandwich with a delicious onion au jus. I’ll definitely have to remember that for my next vacation.

Ordered on website on because manager from Applebee’s advised to not order through doordash but instead order directly from Applebee’s so if there are any problems with the order, Applebee’s can fix it themselves. We’ll, that is a lie because I ordered a well done steak and what was delivered was a raw steak instead and when I called the restaurant directly the only thing they coild offer was a $ 20 coupon to be mailed to me. Not good enough when my meal total cost more than that in addition to no options to resolve immediately. I would’ve been better off using Doordash
