I would have gladly given 4 stars because rarely do I give 5 stars unless the waiter or waitress goes over and beyond in making my dining experience memorably awesome. I don’t recall my waitresses name but on the receipt it says Marquitta H. . I enjoy going out with my family and I don’t mind driving far or spending my money on good food, awesome customer service and affordable prices. I don’t know if it’s Applebee’s policy or if it was Ms. Marquitta’s decision but she made and my family feel rushed in eating. She told us that she was leaving and said something about “Cashing Out”. I guess that meant paying our bill. I’ve been to the Applebee’s in Portage, Indiana and I don’t recall my waitress pulling that on me. I almost didn’t give her a tip because as I stated, she made us feel rushed and even it felt as if because we’re Mexican that she probably thought we weren’t going to pay our bill and leave her a tip. A part of me almost didn’t want to tip her but as someone who worked in The Fast food industry and who worked with the public. I understand the stress, pressure and anxiety that entails and that’s why I gave her a tip. My mom didn’t finish her dinner she brought it home because again we felt rushed and singled out due to us being Mexican. Enclosed is a receipt of us being there today. The food was good, customer service wasn’t good because of what I mentioned earlier. The atmosphere was okay. Well, that’s all I have to say.

Showed up with a party of 7. Food took an extremely long time to show up, waiter was rude and dismissive the entire night, the drink that was made for my GF was not the correct drink. The worst of it all was after getting our food, I had to send it back as the pasta looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. The “crispy chicken” was soggy and the top layer of noodles in the dish were hard. I also received an “extra cup of Alfredo sauce” that the plastic top was melted into. I was met with attitude when asking to send it back. All around an aweful experience. Better luck with Portillos down the road.
Making an edit to add some more. Dish was remade and came back out, looks much better but noodles are chewy and undercooked. Absolutely ridiculous.

Sam the manager here is amazing! He checked on us every 10 minutes and even came and had conversations with my family we enjoyed our dinner! Will was our host and he was amazing. He made sure our beverages were refill when needed and our food was very good and came fast! My family and I want to thank the kitchen for the food, and the entire store for the great customer service. You all are doing amazing thank you for the amazing service tonight !

Ordered the four cheese mac and cheese honey chicken. By far the worse thing I’ve had here. Wanted to treat my family for dinner but that Instantly made me regret not cooking. Pasta was overcooked, not sure they put any sort of cheese sauce because it was dry. Chicken was the only thing edible and decent. Do better at this location, more quality checks on the food you’re serving people. I can’t imagine the cooks serving this garbage to their own families.

After waking in I waited a few minutes for someone to seat me. There were no bartenders seen or any other staff members. I had a party of 5 and was the first to arrive. After being seated, Ari read me the drink menu and told me the el jefe margarita is the best and strongest.
The rest of my group arrived, we ordered our drinks and food right away. The drink menu with all the specials wasn’t effective until tomorrow but they can still make the drinks, we were told.
The table behind ours arrived after, ordered after, and left the same time we did. They received their drinks and food before we did. We had the same amount of people in our parties.
Our friend’s appetizer platters looked good and our shared opinion ring appetizer tasted good. We ordered the $2 Jose margaritas with sugar on the rims. We received 4 drinks and only one with the sugar rim.
The main course. My husband’s bourbon steak was cook just as he requested. There were no complaints about the mushroom burger. The salmon meal; the salmon was dry and tough, she picked the whole piece of salmon up with her fork. The chicken tender meal was so greasy, it looked like it had been fried more than once. I put a napkin under hoping to soak it up but it didn’t help. I bit into the hard chicken “tender” but the grease was horrible. The chicken was dry and hard. The fries were good. Good seasoning and not overcooked. The baby back ribs were tiny, dry ,hard, and just a waste of time and effort. I bit into it hoping to taste juicy bbq ribs and couldn’t even bite the meat off the bone it was so hard and dry.
We tried multiple times to alert Ari our waitress when she was around but we didn’t see much of her. When we did tell her about the ribs she said she doesn’t eat them because they don’t taste good. She took them back and they removed them from our order. Thank you. I thought about it and decided the tenders needed to go back too. So the manager came out and I explained and showed her the tenders. She asked if I wanted a replacement I replied no. She took $10 off for the tenders. My friend didn’t want to complain about her salmon.
The lighting inside was very dim. The lighting outside was broke and there were no outdoor lights. One of the people we sat by complained about his handicapped wife tripping and falling because it was so dark. He used his headlights to help her get into the truck. Yes the tip was an insult but so was the service sometimes knowing when to keep your comments to yourself pays off.

Today my husband, good friend, and I had an amazing time at this location. When we arrived, a young man by the name of Elijah greeted us with a very warm smile and was very accommodating when I asked to sit in a specific section.
Since people had just left the table, it had not been cleaned yet, but he went out of his way to clean it just so we could sit there. The bartender, Jasmine, also had excellent customer service and greeted us with a smile when she came to share her knowledge of all of the various drinks. But what also sent our experience over the top was when the manager, Sam came to see if everything was OK, and it definitely was. Keep it up Applebee’s! Your employees are doing a great job.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. TRIED to go to dinner tonight with my family, and it started right away. We were seated and waited 20 minutes before our waitress, I believe her name was Courtney, was done flirting and talking with one of her co workers. Once approached, there was no indicative, caring, or hopefulness to make our experience great. She was very bland, didn’t care, and overall a disappointment to customer service. My family and I left after waiting another 15 minutes for our drinks and we went to Chilli’s right down the street where we had fantastic service and great food. Will NEVER be back here.

Well id like to tell you how good the food is but 8 still haven’t got it. My daughter and I ordered a combo trio an hour ago to snack on before our dinner. 30 minutes ago we ordered our dinners and have yet to see anything. I asked our server about the appetizer and she looked like she didn’t even know we had one. I told her if she forgot to put it in the just take it off the bill and bring our dinners. That was 10 minutes ago and I haven’t seen her since. It wasnt very busy when we showed up at 625. Finally got our dinner at 740. No apps(forgot). Taking out breadsticks to go because they showed up after we were done eating. The food was par foe Applebee’s except the parm chicken breast on the noodles. Was so dry loke it was under a lamp for a couple hours I couldn’t eat it. Manager comped our original apps to go so theres that. Won’t be back

Wow. Terrible service. People behind us left after ordering drinks and food that never came. Server was colder than my dead grandma. “What do you guys want?” No “hello” or greeting whatsoever. Drinks took forever. Like 20 minutes. Now we understand why the people behind us left. Zero F’s given by this server but she sure lit up when she went over to the bar to flirt with her coworker. Her name was Caroline. Ask for anyone but her and you might have an ok experience. She alone earned this place a 1 star. It reflects bad on management as well when you continue to employ someone who makes your establishment look that bad.
