Came to this location with my family and it wasn’t so great. The food was good, but the service was pretty bad. Our drinks took absolutely forever to get to the table and when they finally did, mine was forgotten. I mentioned it and was told she’d be right back, I then had to ask her as she was walking by 5 minutes later about my water and then she brought it. Also one of the drinks had this chunk of mystery gunk in it so we had it replaced, only to find more in the replaced drink. We just let it go and pushed it off to the side. I don’t plan on coming back anytime soon.

My friend and I had lunch there in Zanesville a month or so ago, (we are from the Lancaster area) and then we went back for lunch again yesterday. We got the same waitress who was so amazing. She not only remembered us, but she even remembered what we did for a living! She is so thoughtful and accommodating. She is an outstanding example of what you hope for when dining out. Her name is Laken!

The food was honestly really good I got the four cheese mac-and-cheese with honey pepper chicken on the side and everything was delicious. The portions appeared small but they were honestly perfect. I also recommend (if you get what I ordered) getting the chicken and sauce on the side, only because I think the sauce overpowers the cheese in the pasta but thats just my preference. I also got raspberry tea which was sweet but good. The service was pretty good as well. Our waitress was friendly and everything was finished within a decent amount of time I also ordered the brownie bite for dessert. Once again it was small but because of how sweet the brownie was, it was perfect.

Free standing building. Parking on site with handicap parking in front of building and wheelchair accessible entrance. Inside building a little dated, could focus more on cleanliness. Some staff were pleasant but most weren’t too friendly. Food was mediocre and disappointing. Bar server described the chicken salad differently than what was served. Chicken not cut into bite sized cubes as she described and not at all what was pictured in the menu either. Chicken was dry and barely cut through into chunky strips. Tasted very processed, almost bland. Struggled to eat a quarter of my plate. My palate had enough! Ordered their dry red, large pour to salvage my dining experience there. Bar server was loud, cursing quite a bit, I over heard inappropriate conversations and behavior toward other customers she was friendly to. I didnt want to hear other people’s conversations…Yes, she was that loud. I went to dine in between running errands to relax and unwind, not to experience such poor behaviors. She was complacent and laughed when she realized she didnt charge a gentleman for a couple beers when he checked out. What surprised me was that she told him she didnt care and not to worry about it. Conduct and decisions like these costs this establishment money and their profits plummet. What’s worse about her is she did it with another group of customers afterwards as well. She’s quite, let’s just say, energetic, and becomes complacent. Her errors will cost this store to lose a lot of money and it will reflect on the manager in charge when they do inventory and crunch the numbers. My experience that afternoon was shocking, disappointing and disturbing. I’m not a fan. I’ve been to other Applebees and never have I witness, experienced such behaviors at other store locations. Other than that bar server’s conduct, Applebees Zanesville is an alright place to dine. Bon appetit and Godspeed everyone!

Their sweet tea is awful. It’s like drinking sugar water. Even when you look at the tea in the glass, it’s like a a light brown water. It does not even resemble tea so I would suggest getting something else to drink. Their fish is deep-fried and very greasy. Service was great.

Sadly, they ran out of their famous apples. So I ordered the bees instead. They were tastier than I thought they would bee. Nice crunch with sweet honey undertones, truly a delight on the palette. Fantastic family owned local joint, I will be coming back!

Appetizer came 1hr later at the end of our meal plate was cold food was cold. Ordered the same burger one seemed like it was dipped in salt and the other burger was under cooked. It was a terrible experience with applebees the only reason I gave 2 stars because the manager cleared our bill and asked if we would try the restaurant again and I agreed

Did Carside on APP at the Zanesville location but I couldn’t get it to go through. A very kind employee took the order overvthe phone and everything was ready when I picked it up inside. Will definitely be back to Applebee’s in the future.
