Reviews
I’d also like to add my husband asked for a refill on his coke. The glass was dirty and had a piece of lettuce floating in it.
I want to start by saying that dining out is expensive these days, so when we choose to spend our money at a restaurant, we expect basic competence and value for what we’re paying. Unfortunately, this visit was a disaster from start to finish.
**DRINKS (Multiple Failures):**
– Sweet tea wasn’t sweet, had to send it back
– When it returned, it was raspberry flavored (completely wrong)
– Lemonade looked and tasted like water with barely a splash of lemon
– Coke was flat
SERVICE ISSUES:
The server didn’t write down ANY part of our order despite being told things multiple times. This led to numerous mix-ups throughout the meal.
But the real problem was his attitude and lack of basic menu knowledge. When we pointed out that my wife’s fiesta lime chicken was missing the rice, he insisted it doesn’t come with rice and actually brought the menu out to prove us wrong. The menu clearly showed rice IS included. Doubling down on your ignorance instead of just checking with the kitchen is unacceptable.
Even worse: my wife ordered a loaded baked potato. The server took the order without saying anything, then brought out loaded mashed potatoes instead. When she told him he got the order wrong, he had to go back to the kitchen to check, and THEN came back to inform us they don’t even sell loaded baked potatoes. How does a server not know what’s on their own menu? This should have been mentioned when she ordered it, not after bringing out the wrong item.
APPETIZERS:
We ordered two appetizers. They came out at completely different times, and the mozzarella sticks didn’t arrive until our entrees came out, which defeats the entire purpose of an appetizer. The boneless wings appeared to be just chicken tenders dipped in Buffalo sauce.
ENTREES:
My wife and mother-in-law both ordered the same steak. My wife’s steak was actually good and properly cooked. However, my mother-in-law’s was undercooked and looked like a big chunk of beef rather than a proper steak. How do two identical orders come out so completely different?
I ordered the riblets, which weren’t even close to what they used to be. I had to scrape the meat off most of the bones with a fork. They used to be tender enough that you didn’t need utensils or have to stick them in your mouth to separate the meat. The quality has clearly gone downhill. And I only got a handful of fries. Most restaurants load you up on fries since they’re a low-cost item, but apparently not here. Makes me wonder if everything is just frozen food being heated up with portion sizes cut to save money.
BOTTOM LINE:
I understand that servers can be inexperienced or undertrained, and that’s a management issue. What I can’t accept is a server who doesn’t know the menu, argues with customers, and tries to prove them wrong only to be contradicted by the actual menu. That’s not just incompetence, that’s terrible judgment and customer service.
When you’re spending $60-80+ for three people, you expect value. We got the complete opposite. This location needs serious intervention from management or corporate.
