We live one mile from this Applebees Grill + Bar, and even if it’s a chain, our food has always been great. Davenport has a lot of chain restaurants, and it’s tough to be in the restaurant business these days, if you haven’t noticed. We have consistently had good service here, with polite and attentive servers. Our food has always been fresh, and if there was a small issue, it was taken care of immediately. I sure LOVE their BBQ riblets. My husband loves their chicken. The restaurant is clean, as are the bathrooms, and you’ll enjoy your dinner here. We saw a lot of families enjoying eating together. I think of a restaurant as an event, a place to go to enjoy time away from your home. I wouldn’t necessarily order food from this location, but I would definitely recommend you go in and be seated for a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere, because they have that in spades.

Service was fair, not too much of a wait. Food not so great. We were seated within 5 minutes and greeted right away. The restaurant was not too busy. Our food didn’t take too long but there were a few things wrong. First the mc and cheese was dry and was sent back. Two of the pastas were dry, the sause consistency was super thick. We asked for more sauce but it didnt make it any better. Also the tenders were kinda over fried. The appetizers, boneless wings, and spinach dip, were pretty good and fresh. Chips were crispy. The bourbon chicken platters were also good, although they missed the mushrooms on one platter. The 2 for one drinks were also pretty good. I may visit again to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe just not a good day.

Have been to handful of Applebee’s across the US over the years; never the best experience but always good enough. This time, bad. Very bad. Fourty-five mins to take our order despite a not full restaurant and countless servers walking by. Another full hour before we saw food. Most of it arrived cold – the kids corn dogs were cold (felt refrigerated); pasta was cold. Kids were incredibly antsy after the excessive wait. Plenty of staff moving around and excuses for issues were being offered to many tables. Issues amounted all over the restaurant. One table of TWO stormed out after 90 mins of waiting. Other tables were seated and fed quickly. Extremely inconsistent service. The busser / host was rather obnoxious and couldn’t seem to stay out of others people’s discussions and conversations. While likely just a function of his personality, I also observed him behaving inappropriately and annoyingly to other staff. All in all a very poor experience. Poor food quality. Poor service poor value. And the timelines were awful.

Visited Applebees 6th October on orange lake blv, while on vacation it was very quiet inside, so sat down and ordered a coffee was informed that they would have to make a fresh pot and this would take 15 mins.. Not a problem but when coffee arrived it was Luke warm. we ordered food, one order of mac and cheese with chicken tenders and the other order of shrimp and bourbon chicken with garlic mash and mushrooms.
When the mac and cheese came it were more like penn pasta with bechemel sauce, had no cheese flavour the tenders was Luke warm the best bit were the bread.
The shrimp and chicken were sat in a puddle of grease the food was hot there was no garlic flavouring in the mash as described in the menu, chicken were bland no flavour what so ever, We never saw the staff after the food were delivered to us they just seemed to disappear we waited but in the end the wife said eat what you can. So we did eat half of the food as we were hungry but would not recommend this establishment to eat at. even when the bill came it were plonked on the table and again staff disappeared so we left exactly what the bill said $46.50 this was our first time and there won’t be a return visit as it definitely is not worth the wait or your hard earned money.. and before any one says why didn’t you complain the staff did not come back out and the place were empty only saw staff to ask for bill

Ordered to go. Everything was great except husband’s clubhouse grille unfortunately went in the trash and he only ate the pub pretzels that we ordered. For some reason the sandwich was completely soggy and was drowning in mayo. I’m not sure if the sogginess was from the mayo or if it was from very wet undrained lettuce but it made the sandwich extremely unappetizing to eat with soggy toast. I don’t think I’ve ordered a club sandwich from ANYWHERE that had soggy toast. Completely disappointing as this was his favorite sandwich to order. This location is just 2 miles from our home and we hadn’t ordered from there in a few years. For a $60 meal, we expected a little better than a soggy sandwich.

Salt block City! I hate leaving bad reviews but this has to be shared. I hope the manager sees this and pays more attention to the food that is leaving the kitchen!
First, the restaurant was not very busy but we still had to wait for them to clean a table even though there were clean tables available. The floors were super sticky as we walked to the table and as we left.
It took a very long time to get in and out. I don’t know if they were under staffed or what but placing the order, getting the food, and even paying took very very long! We were there for over 2 hours.
The food looked good but was extremely salted. I am not sure how they season or at what stage of the food prep they add the salt but the seasoning was way too salty. But strange thing was that it wasn’t through out the entire dish… The veggies were over salted, the garnish on top of the burger was oversalted, the buffalo sauce was way oversalted… everything, and not just 1 dish, the appetizer, the main entrees the kids meals… oversalted… Another thing with the fries, they were not fresh. They were stale and felt as if they were yesterdays fries that were reheated or if they just sat for too long and became stale. Regardless they were not good.
My wife ordered an 8 ounce stake with shrimp and sauce and she got a 6 ounce steak with no sauce or shrimp. The side mac and cheese was wrong also but we decided not to call that one out to them.
The staff was great, friendly but I just don’t know if no one took pride in the service they were providing or what. We left half the food because we could not eat it.
Paying over 100$ with tip was absolutely not worth it. I hate to say I will not be going back.

food is HORRIBLE, literally not even edible. i ordered a artichoke dip, and got a cream soup, and a medium well steak, and got served rubber. do not dine here.

We arrived rather late as we had been on the road from Michigan to Sebring Florida. We have stopped at Applebee’s several times and I had a delicious chicken and bacon with waffle fries dinner.
