Another wonderful dining experience at our Lexington VA Applebees! Melissa was our server and she was excellent as usual! She’s always on top of it, bringing everything we need and always checking on us throughout the meal. She’s an asset to the restaurant. I had blackened salmon and my husband had a chicken fajita wrap. Food was delicious! Can’t wait until the next time!

We were driving through the area and decided to stop here. The food was delicious and everything came out perfectly, but what really stood out was the service. We had Skylar as a server and my boyfriend and I (who are both servers) agree that she had to have been the best server we’ve ever had. Not only was she incredibly kind, but she anticipated every need we might have and we never had to ask for anything. She is a true gem and if you’re coming out to this establishment I highly recommend you ask for her. 🙂

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing this evening. Restaurant ran out of boneless wings, and while I explained my distaste of creamy dressing and specifically asked for dressing on the side, my chicken won ton appetizers had creamy slaw on top. Main meal number 1 (chicken & shrimp) had only one shrimp on the plate. With that said, our waitress was quick to get more shrimp. My meal (chicken tenders and onion rings) was flavor less, or should I say, tasted of oil only. On a positive note our waitresses were very friendly.

Me and my famiy came in last night for my daughter’s birthday. our server a young lady named Peggy she was a delight she was wonderful with our kids and was prompt and kindly even when we were running her ragged. The chicken and shrimp was amazing. I recommend it any day

For starters, the server literally did a drive by drink order, which would have been great if the drinks she came back with were actually decent. What she actually gave us was one decent sangria and a fishbowl of blue syrup that I wouldn’t serve to a person dying of thirst. It didn’t drip off the straw, it literally oozed. When we sent it back the server didn’t apologize, she actually said “it just doesn’t mix well”. Next up, when they brought out the chicken and shrimp the shrimp was literally clear. We sent it back, and it came back exactly the same so we just put that off to the side as a loss, but we assumed the chicken was safe to eat because it looked cooked. I’m writing this review as my wife is throwing up in the toilet from that chicken. If I could give negative stars for food I would. The only reason I give 2 stars for service is because the hostess/greeter was actually really nice. Otherwise it was the worst dinner I’ve had in years.

Im updating this because I have had to pick up food multiple times for friends here since, how is it the store can be almost empty and they still can’t get an order out on time? Do better, hire better, something, I’m calling someone higher up tomorrow I am just too exhausted tonight after a long day but to spend this much money on food for it to be over cooked, dry and hurting teeth, and the smallest tenders I’ve ever seen in my life! Not to mention extremely long waits for food. Horrible.

Food was mediocre at best. Whiskey bacon burger had little flavor did not look like menu pict at all. Chicken salad very bland, plain old iceberg lettuce, even got the nub of the lettuce.
