More employees than customers, 45 min wait for 2 salads -1 hour for kids quesadilla. Booth smelled like urine, burger was burnt and service was terrible. Another waitress tagged in when we asked for help, Abby is amazing! This place has really gone down hill. I work local and shop local, will not be returning.

We waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for a salad, burger meal, steak meal and 1 kids meal. All the food came cold. It took almost 1 hour just to get coffee that was cold. Will never come back here again, do not recommend

We walked in and had ti wait for seating. Once we sat down, it took 6 minutes before we was helped. No greetings just are you ready to order. The server was standing over us sniffling I asked her was she sick. Guess she felt some type of way because my order was wrong, she wouldn’t talk to us lol, and when said my order not right she just took my plate and walked away. I told the manager and of course she made the excuse thar it nay be allergies. I said so either way No One should be standing over me sniffling with no mask at a food establishment. The manager Did NOT care. I said take all the food back and have a nice day. Poor service and non caring management.

The smell of raw sewer gas is horrific. The health department should shut them down. The food served on the hot plate was stuck and had to ve pryed away. This place is terrible.

Not sure where to start, restaurant had about 5 tables with people at it when we walked in but a ton of employees just kind of hanging around I guess due to it being slow. We took a minute and placed a drink order for the new margarita flight, another cocktail, and an app. Took a while for the app to arrive but the drinks came quickly and sadly the featured flight came out looking nothing like the picture. No salt/sugar on the rim and they looked more like kool aid and weren’t even cold. They fixed it but still never asked sugar or salt and salted everything. They entrees took about an hour and during that time we had the pleasure of seeing one of the employees on the bar top trying to take down some decorations with her rear end out and half her thong showing which def was a little crazy but the she sat on the bar and had her exposed ssa on the bar top . Entrees showed up and the steak was def well done as well as the burger but at that point we had given up. Sent my card off with one of the waitresses but had to wait a while because my card didn’t make it back with the receipts. Apparently it was dropped on the way back to my table and no one noticed. Crazy experience, the waiter was super nice but I just don’t think he knew what to ask or look for when he took and received our orders. Probably won’t make this stop on the way to the beach again.

By far one of the worst Applebee’s experiences I’ve ever had. The waitress was also the bar tender and not because they were short staffed. She came over and took our table from a waitress who had just introduced herself. She then didn’t remember our written down drinks. Didn’t put our order in. Tried to use the bathroom but couldn’t because two other waitresses were in front of the bathroom door. One having a breakdown over a boyfriend and the other holding her against the wall so she didn’t fall to the ground. Watched her get carried across the restaurant. Over an hour and 20 minutes later we got our food which was sub par at best.

This was the second and last time I gave Applebee’s a chance. My previous experience included a long wait, cold food, and no attention from the staff. I decided to try it again. We were seated right away, but 45 minutes later, no one had come to check on us — a family of two adults and three kids.
The tables around us were also unattended. One couple even asked if anyone was going to take their drink order, and someone responded, “Let me see who is serving your section.” I don’t know if anyone ever came back to them because we walked out. It is not my job to chase down a server or another employee to get them to do their job.
I saw at least six employees working, and all of them were talking and laughing while customers waited in disappointment. Another table had empty plates and seemed desperate just to pay their bill.
There is no excuse and no explanation. The situation was obvious. If staff members are standing around chatting while expecting tips and good reviews, that’s not going to happen.
I’m sorry and hate to say it, but even one star is too much.

My mother in law chose to come here for her birthday as she was craving the mushroom Swiss burger. Although the restaurant was practically empty we were told it would be a 5-10 minute wait because they didn’t have enough servers. It appears that all the staff were new or learning new positions. Despite them being understaffed and taking on new positions the staff were super friendly and smiling. Anari was our server and he was the sweetest. We absolutely adored him. He was so chill and handled everything so calmly.
I also had the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings and it was really greasy. My daughter had some type of chicken Mac and cheese and could barely stomach the chicken tenders because of the grease and sauce. The photo looks about as appetizing. This definitely isn’t somewhere I would choose to dine at again.

I came to this Applebee’s last year and had a horrible experience but I’m glad to see a change. My waitress this time was very helpful and definitely sober which is already an improvement from last time. The food was delicious and delivered in a timely manner. The tea was watery at first but the waitress gladly gave me a new cup from a fresh batch. Overall I had a great experience and I’m glad I gave this location a second chance.

This weekend our HS band was traveling and we wanted to arrange a sit down meal that could accommodate about 100 people. After calling around near where we’d be, I was able to connect with Alyssa at the N Main St Applebee’s in Suffolk. After telling her what we were looking for on a very late evening Saturday, Alyssa went above and beyond to see what she could do. She ensured there was more staff on hand than originally scheduled to meet our needs and was extremely welcoming and hospitable when we arrived.
The restaurant was prepared to meet two charter buses full of band members after a very long day. They quickly and methodically got our orders in and meals out as quickly as possible for so many orders going in at one time. All the servers were attentive and really nice.
Alyssa helped us settle the tab as streamlined as we could and when there was an alert on our end, she helped rearrange it and was patient and pleasant the whole time.
This whole team should be acknowledged for excellent service and communication. If we come back to Suffolk next year, we will absolutely set something up with them again.
