Ordered from Uber Eats. Oriental Chicken Salad is just leaves and chicken when its supposed to have alot more. French onion soup is a cup of brown saltwater that doesn’t taste like anything. If you want to punish customers for using UBER EATS, just take yourselves off Uber Eats. This has just inspired us to never go back to this location

Worst service I have ever had. Our server Ashleigh messed up our checks three separate times and disappeared a full 30 minutes before we even got our drinks. The bartender was incredibly nice and apologetic but the server continually left us waiting for over 20 minutes each time. She sat down to take our order and proceeded to talk and laugh with other hostesses sitting down with them at an empty booth whilst we never got drinks or food.

After having a poor experience a week ago, I spoke with the General Manager. A very service oriented man, and dedicated to making every experience memorable in a good way to the Applebee’s patrons. We returned for one more try to the California Applebee’s and I was pleasantly surprised at how the Applebee’s of old had returned. Specifically the Quesadillas, mounds of veggies and diced chicken and cheese it a lightly crisped flour tortilla shell, and bold zesty salsa sends them over the top! These things were so well stuffed that we could not finish them all in a sitting. The Honey Barbecue boneless wing appetizer was hot and smoky sweet! My picky 11 year old had the kids Cheeseburger meal with fries and it was demolished before I could sit at the table. Thank you Applebee’s management and staff for a wonderful experience, it reminded me of how food used to be made with love and care. 5 stats for this visit. Thank you all for reading my long winded review.

My wife and I decided to do an early Valentines on February 13th 2026 @ 6:00 PM at the California Maryland location. We were seated with a waitress who appeared to be a bit frustrated with other co-workers based on outspoken statements near our table. She introduced herself, and went off to bring us water, and returned to take our order. After taking our order, we never saw her again, not even to deliver a french onion soup appetizer. After 25 minutes of waiting, and having other waitresses look at us but not approach us, we decided to leave and went to BWW. This was very uncharacteristic of this AppleBees establishment based on our past experience, and AppleBees in general.

Ordered online, via their website. Spent 56$, asked for silverware and did not receive it, and did not receive two of my items (soup and a drink.)The Mac and cheese came with VERY LITTLE cheese on it. When I tried to call them for support, no one answered the phone. Called twice. I don’t even care that the food was sub par, I just want my money back. (My boyfriend did eat the chicken strips off of the mac and no cheese, to Applebees credit it did not look like that before.) if I could give this a 0 I would.

They are the worst at making your messed up food correct! It was absolutely 100% their fault and would not correct it! Not my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time happening with them! Their customer service is terrible and even the higher up wouldn’t do a thing!! Do not recommend eating here as they could not even refire my food correctly! Terrible terrible!! Food burnt and tossed in hot sauce covering the entire plate when I asked for it on the side! ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!

This place is filthy. The womens rest room smelled like an outhouse! The chicken tenders were too hard & overcooked. Ribs were dry. We had to send the coleslaw back, it was spoiled. The worst restaurant in Southern Maryland we’ve been to so far. We were one of the 1st customers in today and the floors had food and dirt all over them. The booths were dirty, uncleaned. Food on ceiling, one of the two faucets in the men’s bathroom wasn’t working. Just awful. Morgan, the waitress, was the only good thing here.

Ordered pickup, look out for combo deals as you’ll get stuff off the menu + free drink for a discount. Exclusive Berry blast mountain dew is my new fav, no drink should be that colour but its so good it surely can’t be legal?!

Came in on Sunday at 12:45. Only ONE server and a hostess. No bartender. Very poor management. Felt sorry for the ONE server taking care of 11 tables and the bar area, by herself until 4:00 pm. This Applebee’s needs to get their act together. Unacceptable.
