I ordered offline and I wish I would have checked before I got back home. I should have just gotten a burger at any fast food places. It was the worst food I possibly ordered. My mom and I tasted and asked did we do something to the people cooking because this is not fit for the dog. The onions weren’t even cooked some still raw. The fries super old, it was so bad. I will not be back at this location!
The Atmosphere is a little pandemonius, but don’t let that stop ya from coming on in and sitting down for a bite and drink (or two)
Best Neighborhood Restaurant in State College.
I went with myself and my friend who lives in State College. From the second we were seated, the server had an off-putting demeanor with no proper greeting. The experience was so overall off-putting and left a bad taste in my mouth I would honestly never revisit this location even as a regular when I was a student at Penn State. The amount of issues that occurred were so numerous I was over the entire experience and just wanted to leave.
1. I asked for water with orange instead of lemon slices…I got an entire sliced orange “garnished” on top of my water cup that barely fit inside of the cup and was overflowing my water
2. The Ultimate trio App we started with had the wonton chicken tacos, double fried shrimp, and riblets…the entire platter was thrown together and we could barely get to the food, which I’ve never had an issue with at this specific location.
3. The server, Colleen P, asked my friend “Pink or no pink” for her burger…she said Pink. First time we asked for it to be remade, immediately felt like we were in the wrong for asking for a pink burger. The remade was made and I’m assuming the manager at this location was the one to bring it out and emphasize: “Here is your EXTRA pink burger” and the new burger was also not pink…the comments and overall energy was very off-putting and made the entire dining experience horrible. When the bill arrived, we were told the burger was comp’d due to the remake, which we thanked her for. Upon further inspection, there was 2 orders of the burger on the receipt, one of which was comp’d and when we asked why there was 2 orders when she said it was comp’d, we were told one was comp’d but to have it redone she needed to put a whole new order in.
4. In general for service, Colleen P was in and around our entire section having great conversations and energy with the older patrons around us and the second it came to our table, there was no eye contact, no energy, and consistent mistakes over and over that my friend and I felt we were an inconvenience to ask for our food to be made right the first time even though we were very clear and understanding that mistakes happen, but the attitude of service was very passive aggressive and unwarranted. For example, I asked for a side of penne that was in butter garlic sauce to take with me…not only did I get a full sized order of pasta but it was fettuccine. At this point, my friend and I felt that we were asking for too much to get served properly with basic respect.
As someone who is a recent alumni and graduate at Penn State, the service the second we were seated felt like we were “unable to pay”…I’m not sure if my friend and I being the only younger non-White appearing patrons had anything to do with this attitude but this entire experience has put a sour taste in my mouth and I will be taking my services to other establishments such as Otto’s, Texas Roadhouse, etc. because I do not feel lie my money should be played around with if I will be getting rude if not below sub-par service. I would have rather stayed home and made the meal myself.
Today was the last straw. All of my sandwiches were missing mayo. My son is autistic and very particular with his food, so I had no choice but to go back inside to ask for it. I waited for nearly 10 minutes with no one returning to assist me. Meanwhile, I could clearly hear the kitchen staff blasting profanity-filled music and openly talking about “prostitution” and other extremely inappropriate topics. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable.
I will definitely not be coming back to this location. The service, attention to detail, and professionalism have severely declined, and it’s beyond frustrating as a paying customer.
Not recommended at all.
