The food is always great, it’s a must destination while in the USA. Meanwhile the food is superb, it always feels understaffed. Saturday night and we had to wait 30 minutes to get a table and it wasn’t full, lots of empty tables. At least seat us and offer drinks or something? Obviously, the people seated after us got a waiter first!? We needed to ask for a waitress once we saw this. I can’t complain about anything else, just the lack of staff or bad management.

Good food, good people, is the slogan and pretty much fits the experience. After a 20-minute wait , we were taken to our table. The waitress was friendly and visually tired, which was understandable as it was a very busy day due to it being platsburghs graduation weekend. The food was pretty good, though there was a debate on the steak being 6oz or 8oz sirloin. You can decide via the pictures taken, and the service was as good as the staff was very attentive. All in all, it’s worthy of another visit.

It took us a little over 45 minutes to get called in but it was worth it. Staff are amazing and food was good. Will go there again for sure.

This is a very well-run establishment! The staff here are personable across the board and tend to be helpful more often than not. They do seem to struggle with call outs, which can lead to some exaggerated wait times. Beyond that, the food is consistently well made. Your favorite dishes tend to remain at a stable quality level, which helps when coming back. The space itself is always as clean as one can hope for from a Bar/Grill, and the speeds at which the kitchen and wait staff get food to their tables is impressive. Between this and Texas Roadhouse, Uptown Plattsburgh has a respectable 1-2 punch for sit-down eating. The last criticism I will mention has very little to do with the restaurant itself. Unfortunately, I have found the customer base to be pretty disruptive on multiple visits. This is not always about interactions between multiple customers, but often instead standoffs or altercations between customers and staff. I have seen five or six different uncomfortable back and forths between hostile or belligerent people–often when engaging with the front desk about the issue of wait times–and a waiter or waitress doing their best to hold down the fort. It is often hard to watch how these dynamics play out, and I do think it is worth noting since the odds are that these sorts of exchanges may happen on any given day. I’m not sure what the solution for this is, but I hope it changes soon. The people who work here deserve better from the people they serve.

We sat at the bar. Bartender was very good. We ordered drinks & food. Waited a long time for the food. They forgot our salad. So we got our main course then finished with salad. My food was just warm with burnt chicken. Hubby ordered riblets and loved it. Salad was not fresh. Lettuce had oxidized- like it had been sitting in the fridge for a week. Never again!!
