Went back after 15 years, still good!
Haven’t been to this Applebee’s since like 2009 when I used to come here constantly. Figured I’d check it out again and see how much changed.
Crazy thing is the bartender from back then still works there! We talked for a bit about the old days which was cool. Place looks pretty much the same.
Food was solid. Got mozzarella sticks, spinach artichoke dip and boneless wings. Everything tasted good, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Wings were crispy and the dip was cheesy. Can’t complain about the portions either.
If you want to save money go after 10pm, apps are half off. I always do this and you can eat cheap. Service was fine, didn’t wait long for anything.
Good to know some places don’t change much. Will probably come back when I’m in the area.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this Applebee’s location, but I must say our experience was excellent! Despite being a large group, everything was amazing. Our waitress, Freddy, did an outstanding job — he double-checked our order, constantly made sure we had what we needed, and provided great service with a positive attitude the entire time. The manager was also very helpful and attentive.
I noticed all the staff working hard and providing great service, which made the atmosphere even better. Kudos to the manager and especially to Freddy for making our visit so enjoyable. I hope everyone who comes here has the same great experience. Thank you for the excellent service!

I came with a group of 6 for the half prize appetizers after 10:00pm. At first they put us at a table where we felt we were going to be too tight so we asked to be moved and they did so with no problem. Ravon was our waiter and he was awesome. He had a positive attitude and was patient. We ordered a bit of everything: boneless wings, waffle fries, mozzarella sticks, chicken quesadillas and chicken wonton tacos. For dessert we ordered the hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.

I wanted to share some feedback about our recent visit. We came to celebrate my birthday, and everything was delicious — we really enjoyed the food. Toward the end of our meal, my husband ordered two Triple Chocolate Meltdowns and mentioned to the server that we were celebrating a birthday.
Around that time, we heard the staff sing “Happy Birthday” for another table, so we assumed the same would happen when our dessert arrived. Before serving the dessert, the table was cleared, and the desserts were brought out — but without the birthday acknowledgment. It was a bit disappointing, especially since my husband had mentioned the occasion in advance.
This isn’t a major issue, but I wanted to let you know. Thank you for the nice meal, and we hope to have a better experience next time.

I took a picture of the food twice… Chicken Alfredo pasta is delicious and filling, I had a cherry soda, it’s good, the steak was really delicious, Caesar salad was also good and enough for two people.

Horrible horrible ribs! They were so damn tough, I could not tear them apart with ease and not even a knife could cut into them to tear them apart. I felt like I was chewing rubber and the fries that came with them were hard and burnt. That entire plate should not even left the kitchen! If the cooks in that kitchen don’t give a damn about the food they are sending out of the kitchen, then I do not give a damn to spend my money at this location. Do better!

I feel guilty for writing this because the manager was very nice and professional but i just wish they would change whoevers in the kitchen..
I live like 10 minutes away from this place and idk why but i never learn and end up getting a steak and i always ask for it medium well and its always bone dry and i just eat it or take it home for when i get hungry enough to eat it
so today i figured i would just ask for it to be cooked medium that way i figured it would be medium well but nope it was bone dry! Again..
And idk if they arnt washing the dishes or something but my son got a pizza from the kids menu and it was packed with celery under it, my wife got chicken Alfredo and it had a bunch of hair so they swit hed the pizza for my son and me and my wife just decided to eat at home.
Its suck a shame because its close to our house and most of the ppl that work there are really nice..

Good food, service was excellent, our waitress was very friendly and courteous. There is hardly ever a wait when we decide to go to this location, there is ample parking. They have a very nice bar area with plenty of TV’s so you can watch any of the games. There new 11.99 menu offer great dinners.The interior is very clean and well maintained, as is the bathroom is well maintained and clean.It’s Applebee’s.

I couldn’t believe how bad this pasta was. I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, and I was literally surprised by how bad the pasta tasted. This is the worst Mac and cheese both in presentation and flavor. It does not belong on anybody’s plate and I sincerely hope that Applebee’s of Garfield, NJ changes up what they’re doing quickly. Badly made kraft macaroni and cheese would be an upgrade.
