Not impressed, waited 5 minutes up front for my to go order. Then my order was awful. 1 burger not made as ordered. 2nd burger looked like it had been eaten. Fries were still white they were so under cooked. Will not order again!

Update: I tried their ribs and cocktails, which were much better than their steaks. The ribs do, in fact, fall off the bone, and the Lemonade was great. The fries were well seasoned. I am upgrading my previous 3 star to 4. Originally it was three due to the steak being completely unseasoned, I am unsure if that’s what the steak is supposed to taste like but I will totally avoid the steak unless they show me that they season thete steaks.

We came to this location with a party of 6. We waited about 5ish minutes to be seated. After 25 minutes the waitress finally took our order. A table of 3 was taken ahead of us, another table of 3 taken after us as well as a table of 2. We were there for an hour and all of these other tables had their drinks and food and we never even got our drinks. I understand that usually a larger party means a longer wait time, but an hour for drinks is ridiculous. We finally got up to leave and someone in our party noticed the waitress at the bar just chit chatting with the bartender with our drinks just sitting next to her.

If I could give zero stars I would.
The food here was a unique combination of expensive and bad tasting. Going into an Applebee’s I would have expected decent quality of food for the money but this was a half step up from McDonald’s and as expensive as a regular restaurant. My wife and I did NOT feel good after eating the food. My burger was very greasy and wet. Each bite would burst more grease from the meat. The salad I ordered was BLASTED with dressing and thus inedible.
We ordered 4 entrees, one app and two drinks for a total of over $100. For that price I’d rather go to a restaurant that gets their ingredients from real farms or at least whose ingredients don’t come in frozen bags.
The service wasn’t great but that is a staffing issue not a quality of employees issue. They needed at least two more servers on shift but when the team could help they were good.
Above all this made me realize that my nostalgia for my trips to Applebee’s as a kid are best left as they are- memories of the past and not something I should try to revisit.

Walked in and waited more than 10 minutes to be seated it was late Saturday night but no one was there maybe 2 tables we sat down when we were about to order we were informed about a bunch of things they were out of including ribs which is what I wanted I still stayed ordered the margarita flight which came back hot and tasting like syrup and that’s it I said oh no it was only place open we were hungry and still decided to order food we both got burgers I asked for mine with no sauce her it back splattered with sauce fries were hot and fresh but super salty so frustrating I love Applebees but def a very bad experience at this location server didn’t even seem to care ate half the burger

I went there two nights in a row at happy hour. The bartenders provide decent service, the drinks were good. I ordered the wanton chicken tacos which I did not like, they were greasy and sauce did not have a good smell. Most of my experience with food here has been great so will rate it 5 stars because they try their best and are open late night.

We had the trio appetizer we shared, it was good. My son and I got the pick 2 for 25.. his was actually $5 more because he got the steak meal. I got the new grilled cheese burger!! It was so good. It was hot and melty, and they served it with a side of tomato soup. My boyfriend got a steak dinner, and my other son had the chicken tenders meal. Everything was hot and fresh. The server was very good. We got plenty of napkins and he kept the waters full. It ended up being like $100 for the four of us with an appetizer.
I gave four stars for atmosphere bc my boyfriend wanted to see the football game, but they couldn’t change it.

Honest Review
Portions have gone WAY smaller but price has stayed the same. My 9 year old son got the ‘adult’ chicken fingers – they were each 3 inches long and super thin. he also had onion rings and the triple chocolate melt down. He ate all of it, and was still hungry when we got home!!! 40 bucks for shrunken portions is horrific. won’t be back.

Female General Manger was very nasty to customers about where to sit. She wanted to sit people within 1 ft right next to each other. During this pandemic that was not a good idea. I ask her were she in business to keep customers or run them away? The food was a 1 out of 10, but the drinks were GREAT.

Terrible! I wouldn’t know how the food was because nobody waited on us so we left. We got seated promptly and set for 10 solid minutes at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon when the restaurant was empty and no one still came to take our order or even acknowledge our presence so as a result we will never be back to Applebee’s in South Portland Maine again. And on a side note we ended up at Red Robin in Scarborough right down the street and had the most amazing waitress and the most wonderful meal. All around that was a great experience for us and we will definitely be back to Red Robin in Scarborough!
