The management team (Mike) and Lena the bartender was attentive and made the experience enjoyable. The drink I ordered was made to perfection and the food service was prompt and warm. The manager brought the food out because the bartender was busy making drinks for other people. I enjoyed how they worked together. I will definitely be returning soon.

This was my daughter and i’s favorite place for daddy/daughter dates. I will never step foot in there again after tonight. They never brought me my meal. I had to sit and watch my daughter eat hers and after like five minutes of that I had a sudden feeling like I had been in that situation before. It’s because I have, the same exact thing happened on our last visit. We never even saw our waitress after we ordered. Not once. Had to pull the manager aside as he was dealing with another table with a very similar issue and they treat us like we’re the jerks. I asked him very nicely for our check, minus my meal so that we could pay and leave. Manager comes back five minutes later saying he put my order in and he would take it off the check… I said dude, again we are done, we’ve been here for 45 minutes, I want to pay for what she ate and I want to leave your building, so he angrily told us we were “all set”. I hate to sound like that old man but the world is crap, no good workers, nobody does their jobs. My daughter found a bag of mystery drugs in our rental car recently from Enterprise rent a car. Like what is going on in the world????? Don’t open the doors if you guys aren’t equipped to do the only job your are supposed to do. You know, cook and bring people food… And certainly don’t try and manipulate your customers into staying at a place they don’t want to be anymore due to a bad experience.

Listen, I don’t usually write reviews, (Who am I kidding, I do this like it’s my job. ) but Applebee’s in Dover just hit me with a combo so good I feel morally obligated to spread the word.
First off, I rolled in thinking I’d grab a casual dinner, but the 12oz ribeye with rice and garlic potatoes made me feel like I was dining in a cowboy fever dream. Tender, juicy, seasoned just right—like the cow lived a stress-free life listening to spa music before landing on my plate.
Now, I normally avoid soda like it’s an MLM pitch, but I caved for a dirty Pepsi… and holy carbonation, Batman—it was glorious. I’m starting to wonder if I’ve been missing out my whole life or if Applebee’s just knows how to dirty up a Pepsi better than anyone else.
Dessert? Triple chocolate meltdown. I don’t even need to describe it, because the name alone tells you everything: chocolate… exploding… happiness. I basically blacked out from sugar joy.
Oh, and plot twist: I loved the steak so much, I ordered ANOTHER 12oz ribeye to take home for lunch tomorrow. Yes, that’s right—I pre-gamed my own leftovers like a professional foodie.
But what really sealed the deal? The dream team: Amazing Kerrie and Super Noah. These two didn’t just serve food; they served up a five-star experience with a side of charisma. Kerrie runs the floor like the CEO of Hospitality, while Noah has the kind of energy that makes you want to tip extra just so he keeps smiling at humanity.
Applebee’s Dover, you’re not just a neighborhood grill… you’re the neighborhood legend.
Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I bring my grandma, my dog, and possibly a priest to bless the dirty Pepsi? Don’t tempt me.

My husband and I always go here for our weekly tread. Lena, was amazing, Mike the manager seemed very friendly and friendly. Yesterday was a different story. Sitting at the bar we sat for sometime before being noticed by the bartender. The place I was sitting at was messy. Once we were noticed I asked for a bar clothe to clean my area. The bartender said it was busy and she knows it needs to be cleaned. Swipe it once over leaving a path of water that should have been dried. But ok it was busy. We asked for a menu, which we received right away. Again she was busy talking, which is what bartenders and waiters should do, not forgetting the pile of empty glasses and plates piling up. After sometime she came back saying she was sorry but her computer was being rebooted. Ok, this isn’t her fault, but after it was rebooted, she didn’t come back for our order. About fifteen minutes went by she came back asking if we were ready to order. We gave her our orders. An app and two meals. Twenty more minutes went by and the manager brought out our meal. I asked about the app, which he said he didn’t realize we ordered one, offering to get it, which at that time we had a meal so no thank you. My order was simple and plain. It wasn’t what I had ordered. I paid our bill left a tip and will not go back.

We decided to stop in after our American Legion meeting in Somersworth. Our server Lydia was super nice and attentive our drinks and food came out very quickly and perfect. Only thing I don’t like is no prices on the menu for the beverages.

Service was great. Several times I’ve been there and had to send something back. Once was a riblets plate with honey barbecue sauce. A side salad was ordered. Instead got a riblet plate with spicy hot barbecue sauce and fries. I ordered steak and had to send it back repeatedly because it was rare instead of medium, then well done. I gave up sending it back that night and smothered my steak with mashed potatoes… Either someone was new to the job or learned to cook properly.

Do you want to sit between 3 dirty tables for the entirety of your visit? Do you enjoy watching servers take selfies in the corner by the restrooms while people haven’t gotten their food? Do you hate silverware? Do you like servers who think they are quieter than the kitchen is loud?

Went for dinner, we were greeted by a nice guy in a sweater, who I assume is the GM. Our original waitress never came over, so thankfully someone noticed, came over, and took over as our server. After about 40 minutes we got our food and about halfway through we got our appetizer.
The wait staff, except for our waitress (she was pretty great), was pretty abysmal. The most I saw of them was taking selfies by the bathroom exit when not gossiping rather loudly at the kitchen. During our visit the tables to our left and right were not cleared, so clearly they had more important things to do. Our stay only ended up being about 1hr and 20 mins. We counted about 7 tables throughout the restaurant that were as dirty as when we arrived.
All in all I wouldn’t say it was worth the $84 we spent.

I had to wait about 5 min extra but it wasn’t a bad wait I was advised by the guy that was working at the counter that my food to be out promptly they were just hiding things up I appreciate it that you told me that and overall my food was great service was great and the drive was pretty good too…

That blonde girl that meets you at the front door when your picking up food or need to get seated needs a talk from upper management. She is the worst person ever. Bad character, bad attitude, bad vibe and on and on.
But the whole apple bees of this location is amazing if it wasn’t for this one particular person.
Food is great, servers like Sonny and the talk guy with the rockstar haircut are amazing and make me come back here. But that blonde girl is probably hated by many. Cause she be doing the most to almost everyone I have seen her in counter with!

I preface this review as someone whose family has gone to this location every Saturday for lunch for many years. Lena, the Saturday bartender has worked for Applebees longer than I have been alive. Exactly what you look for in a bartender. Attentive, quick, kind, bubbly and so much more. The food is always good, for a chain restaurant. However, with the new decision to take Lena off the bar, after she’s been working for so many years and the mistreatment of her, my family has decided to stop coming to the restaurant all together and I imagine many people will do the same. She is truly the face of this location. It is sad to see them take her off the bar when she is so loved. It is just not the same. I obviously don’t know the reason these people do what they do in their establishment, but it’s evident that not all employees are given the same grace as others. May management take this review into consideration and I sincerely hope Lena does not take any heat for the loss of customers they’ll surely be having because of their decision.
