The best restaurant in Showshoe and one of the all-time best restaurants we’ve ever visited. Love and respect the true farm-to-table scratch kitchen. You can absolutely taste the difference. Everything we had was nothing short of exquisite, and items we haven’t had elsewhere, and we’re big foodies who travel extensively. The fish eggs in the salad were superb with a texture and crunch like no other. For a mountain location, the lobster was clean and sweet. The lentil loaf, my goodness, amazing. Better than most meatloaf I’ve ever had. The sauces! The trout appetizer, delicious. The duck was perfectly cooked and the accompaniment as far as additions and sauces, all natural and perfectly paired; beyond yummy. A meal to remember. If we had time, we would have gone back the very next night.

A pretty restaurant that is well staffed, but we were disappointed overall by the food and the price. I’m willing to pay a premium at a resort, but I was disappointed by how much the items cost for what we got. In the winter, I understand that greens may be substituted for available greens (in this case kale) on a salad, but the radish salad lacked flavor, had two pieces of blood orange, and had little to no dressing. A plate of roughage. Small portions for the pasta. The pork-chop was generally tasty, though overcooked, etc. Dessert was a bright spot.

Great place to eat more upscale food while at snowshoe. Had a great time. It was easy to make last minute reservations and modify them pretty last minute. I can’t believe this place isn’t more packed out. Portions were large enough that we didnt have room for dessert, but they also looked amazing.

We had another great meal at Appalachia Kitchen. Steaks were cooked to order, perhaps a little more done than medium rare but very tasty. Excellent service. My one suggestion is the grits side with the filet is not appetizing. It’s grey which is not a good color for food. The taste was ok but the color is not appealing and takes away from a great dish. Suggest garlic mashed potatoes or polenta for a side. Or colorful vegetables.

This place was nice, the Aranchini was amazing but the Trout was just ok. The Pasta that came with the Trout tasted very fishy and for $50 it was disappointing. That said I think it is the best place at Snowshoe to get high quality food.

This was our favorite meal of the trip! We were delighted to see our server from lunch earlier in the day helping us and she was awesome again. The restaurant is beautiful with gorgeous arches and a rustic feel. We thoroughly enjoyed the poached pear salad to start, the scallops & risotto, the pork tenderloin (my son devoured it!), and the DUCK! Oh, the duck was DEELISH! Highly recommend.

We picked this restaurant due to the strong reviews but were thoroughly disappointed. The meal started off well as the rolls and drinks were delicious but it was downhill from there. The kale caesar salad was whole pieces of kale uncut almost like a garnish. The dressing was so thick it didn’t pour. The chicken wellington pastry appeared raw despite it taking us over an hour and a half to get it.

Excellent if you’re embarking on “a nice dinner” night. My wife and I went in to it knowing we were gonna spend some money, but everything was more than worth it (you can certainly get out of there spending less than us, but we wanted to treat ourselves). We had Reuben as our server and asked for his recommendations on everything from cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Followed his recommendations and they were all spot-on.

Had a fantastic dinner with my family. The service was 10/10 and our food was incredibly tasty. We even stayed for dessert which is very unlike us lol! Everything on the menu tasted sooo good. We all cleaned our plates

Myself and 4 others went here for a nice meal while on vacation. We waited about an hour for our appetizer before we decided to get up and leave. When we went up to leave and they said they were plating our entrees and we had to pay for them anyway, so we sat down and finished the meal. They were fine but extremely small portions. One person in our group ordered a drink and it came in a glass with a lipstick stain and part of the salt rim missing as if someone already drank out of the glass. Two more in our party ordered drinks but never received them. Our server was very nice but we were one of three parties that left or tried to leave before our meals were out. We were still charged full price for everything besides a free dessert. It was very disappointing especially for a special celebration and the last night of our trip.
