I went for the first time on a Sunday. It was busy but we were able to sit at the tea bar. We had the luncheon plates and shared a brie. The food was amazing, everything was delicious. Their apricot chicken salad was amazing. The tea experience was fantastic. Getting to pick your own cup was a lot of fun. The staff was so friendly, we even bugged them with questions and they were happy to answer them. Overall my experience was fantastic, I will definitely be back for more!

I was strolling down Main Street and saw a cozy looking tea store. I crossed my fingers hoping they’d have something for me to grab for dinner as it was getting late and I was hungry. I walked into another time and place. The Proprietoress was something out of a favorite story book. She has created a truly magical place I’ve never experienced at any other venue. She is compassionate, empathetic and a fellow book worm. She has clearly put great thought into every detail of this establishment including the rose or thorn choices. Selecting a seat that “made me comfortable” and a cup of that “made me smile” felt very much like a Harry Potter Sorting Hat experience. All of this, and I haven’t even mentioned how delectable the apricot chicken salad luncheon plate (available at dinner) was. The starter and dessert change seasonally, which I absolutely love! How fun it is to enjoy a chef’s choice surprise. I’m terribly sad that 6 hours away or this would be a daily haunt. This is a little spot of sunshine a tiny piece of paradise. I couldn’t be more grateful for the way I passed my Friday evening. They may have to physically push me out of here – it’s past closing time!

This shop is spectacular. I love everything about it. The interior aesthetic is lovely. The staff are so friendly and joyful. We reserved afternoon tea. The food was excellent. Picking your own tea cup is so fun. Getting to smell the dry tea options before choosing your pot is exciting. The atmosphere was so enjoyably. I can’t say enough good things about this shop. Hopefully you bump into Laura when you’re there to have her gush about her love of tea. I’ll be returning here many more times.

This is actually for an online order that I placed. With more personal communication regarding an item that I presume was out of stock since I got refunded for it, I would have given five stars, but I’m still giving a high rating because the green tea sampler I received from my online order was just adorable! I loved the different variety of green tea in the test tubes and they were clearly labeled with caffeine levels, and as I recall, brewing times. There was an excellent variety, and it was just really well put together. Very charming, and it included lovely pouches for the loose leaf tea.

I’m not sure even where Niles Michigan is LOL but if I’m ever in that area this is a must-see tea house, and it would be a dream to get to experience one of the lovely green teas that I received in my sampler, but in the cool atmosphere of the tea house and getting to pick a lovely teacup from the china cabinet to sip it from.

Afternoon Tea on Thursdays and Fridays is not to be missed. I love the atmosphere and the food(and teas) have been just what you would expect from an English high tea experience. Have gone three times with different people each time. Everyone enjoys, especially the scones and clotted cream. Photos next time. I promise!

Hot chocolate was delicious. Menu is a bit huge but they explain it to you when you walk in. I ordered a hot chocolate. Then the waiter asked what temperature you’d like it. I think there were three options, I chose the second option, which I regretted because my hot chocolate was getting chilly before I could drink it all. If I go again, I’ll get the hottest option. I did order a hot tea to go and it was ok. Not their fault I’m sure, I’m just a plain old girl that is used to her Tetley.
It was an interesting experience, after they bring you your pot of hot chocolate, they tell you to go pick out a tea cup that speaks to you out of an old wood and glass cabinet. Which was kinda cool … except the doors on the cabinet are a little difficult to open because you’re trying not to break anything..lol
If in Niles again, I’d definitely try them out again and maybe try some food. Thanks for the interesting experience.

went here for the first time with my sister. we didn’t know much about tea and they were so helpful! they helped us pick our flavors and we were both extremely impressed! this was my first time actually having a loose leaf tea, and it was delicious! i added cream, sugar, and honey to mine and it was fabulous! i loved getting to choose my own tea cup to drink out of, and for $6, you get a tea pot full of your choice of tea. i was able to drink 2 cups and still had tea left over to bring home! the prices are great! i did not get a chance to try the food because we came too late, but we will for sure be back!!

I was beyond delighted with every aspect of my first visit. As someone who lived in England and appreciates proper tea, this is a treasured find and one of my new favorite places after one visit. The owner and staff are beyond delightful. The food is amazing! Literally the best scone I’ve had on this continent. Real clotted cream is legit. The atmosphere is chill and fun. My words don’t do it justice, you got to check it out for yourself.

What a gem! I’ve come twice now for the traditional high tea. All the food has been so yummy. And the crazy part is, historically, I pretty much hate tea.. and I love so many teas here! So Apothica may single-handedly be turning me into a tea person! Some of my faves- Pistachio-you-a-question, chocolate rum, the Paris, and peach matcha. Also I highly recommend coming hungry! There’s more food than you think, plus with all the teas, I’m very full by the end! The owner has paid attention to so many little details. I love it and will continue to bring friends and family here!

My oldest friend and I have dedicated Apothica Teas as the place to celebrate each of our birthdays with Afternoon Tea because it truly is that special. Laura, the owner, is almost always on site, making sure that everyone is taken care of and has a wonderful experience, while her staff are personable, helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
The incredible bakers/chefs create the most spectacular foods with forward-thinking flavor profiles. They are always challenging themselves to provide the most distinguished foodie an experience he/she won’t forget.
The teas are delicious and abundant, with multiple pots served if desired – and the triple-layer display of food, from finger sandwiches and mini hot savories to scones and incredible pastries, it is never a disappointment. Come out and support this local business whenever you’re able.
