I stopped by for lunch and was blown away by the Neapolitan-style pizza. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, just like you’d expect from a pizzeria in Italy (or so I imagine, since I’ve never actually been there ).
The star of the show was definitely their fancy mushroom pizza – absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot-on. The whole ambiance of the place really adds to the experience, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a little slice of Italy right here in Tacoma.
Now, I’ll admit it’s a bit on the pricier side, but hey, it’s still way cheaper than a flight to Italy! And for the quality you’re getting, it’s totally worth it. If you’re in Tacoma and craving some seriously good pizza, do yourself a favor and check out Apizza. Your taste buds will thank you!

I stopped here late on a weekday for a quick slice of pizza for lumch. At the time I was the only customer waiting for an order but they were clearly dealing with some phone orders to go. I waited over 20 minutes for a single slice of pizza. It was, however, totally worth the wait because it was absolutely delicious. They could really use some air conditioning.

Our trek around Tacoma for pizza has taken us to Apizza. They advised as an Italian restaurant and the first place so far that sells pizza by the slice.
Tried the pepperoni, 3 cheese and their veggertain which was garlic based. Super thin crust on all. The pepperoni tasted great along with the garlic
Service was fair at best. After being greeted upon entry and told we could sit anywhere, it took a few minutes to realize we had to order at the counter. After we got our pizza there was no follow-up. We were the only couple eating in and none of the 3 employees working bothered to check on us. Not even to see if we wanted another drink.
Our three pizza slices along with a draft beer and a glass of wine was around $45. Seems a bit pricey for me. The pizzas tasted fine but the overall experience didn’t match the price.

Had a Negroni and Margarita pizza. Best pizza in the city hands down. They serve by the slice as well which makes this place a budget friendly option. Phenomenal classic Neapolitan style pizzas and top notch customer service. Antipasto was lovely too!

OMG this pizza place is SOOO good!! ❤️ Literally blown away. I got the hot honey pizza and it’s legit one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life The flavor is sooo good and goes with the cheese on it so well! I normally don’t like thin crust pizza but this was absolutely perfect for it and the crust was amazing. They also cook the pizzas inside one of those big round pizza ovens which I’m sure adds to how good it is. 100% will be returning! Staff is really nice too and it’s a cozy ambiance inside with many tables. Definitely check it out!!

Had the Spicy Tony pizza. It was really good. No red pepper flakes needed. The crust is fairly thin with a little chew. Haven’t had a restaurant with a thin crust that was at least a little crispy. In this case, it made this pizza different in a good way. There was a little crunch on the ends, but the ingredients are what carried the pizza. The sausage was sliced rounds from a link, but again we’re high quality with a nice flavor profile and the sauce was extremely well balanced with enough Italian seasoning in it to cut through any paste flavor you might find at some other local places like Bar Rosa. It also wasn’t acidic. Extra points right there for me. I mention these details because I believe that it will help better to figure out if you’re wanting to try one of the many, many new pizza places in town. Service was attentive enough for my needs as they checked in a couple of times. The drinks were ok at least on the mixed drink. The beers weren’t bad. A large pizza for around 40 after tax was easily shareable for two or three people and the chew in the crust helped keep it filling while it was still thin. I’ll definitely be back based on the light sauce profile and toppings.

Our family enjoyed the most delicious pizza, salad and desert. They slice the cheese for the Cesar salad into a yummy mouthfuls, we had never had anything like it before. The service was top notch, and the pizza- we pretty much inhaled it! A spicy red sauce – not too spicy, just right!! Absolutely going back! Highly recommend!

APIZZA has a warm and neighborhood-like charm to it with wonderful pies, desserts, and atmosphere. I’m a slice guy and this has become one of my favorite spots to grab a slice of the day for lunch. There typically are always 2 options that can vary daily on top of the classic standard Menu they carry. I’ve found that typically for the slice options one of them has meat and the other is vegetarian. I love Margarita Pizza and they do a fantastic job with the pies. It’s a great place to hangout and while I haven’t been around dinner time I know they host live music that I hope to check that out soon. Marshall the owner has done a great job with this place as well as all the workers who help make it the great spot it is. Can’t wait to grab another slice and some Gelato soon. Mangia!

Seriously the best pizza ever. I always wondered why they were more expensive and that kept me from eating here for a while. Let me tell you what a mistake that was! I could live off only this pizza for the rest of my life. My wife, who doesn’t like wood fired pizza, said we could have only this wood fired place, because it was so good! I was a little sad that they were out of cannoli but that’s ok, I will just have to come back and have another amazing pizza. …oh! And their sweet tea… I dunno if they make it themselves but it is perfect too…. … OH! And ask for the hot sauce peppers dip thing.. *chefs kiss*
