Very clean restaurant! I had the teriyaki salmon and it was delicious! The bed of rice was moist and the asparagus was huge! Husband had the shrimp Alfredo and his portion was huge! Definitely recommend if youre visiting MD Anderson

My dad and I are so grateful for this restaurant and its stellar staff. They are ALL wonderful people. Dad loves the food and that is most important since he is the one going there for his check ups for mesothelioma. But on a personal note, I was thrilled when they added a few vegan options to the lunch/dinner menu and it would be great if they could add a few more for breakfast. For instance, tofu scramble or vegan yogurt with granola and fruit. It would also be great if the vegetable soup could be more veggie forward as opposed to mostly broth. And lastly, maybe some bean soup, beans and rice and some kind of lentil dish would be wonderful.

I had a very bad experience in this restaurant. They only had three vegan options in their menu, and I ordered the Moroccan Bowl. I should have pay more attention to their ingredients, but for 16 dollars I guessed, very wrongly, that it would have falafel or chickpeas, and at least in a bowl with plenty of food. But no, it was a extremely simple salad plate, healthy, but not fulfilling and lacking protein and flavor. Considering this restaurant it is inside MD Anderson, a Cancer Center, they should have more delicious plant-based meals, specially because meat increase cancer risk. It is very concerning to have watched so many cancer patients inside eating animals… I hope they improved their menu soon.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all good. I had a brisket omelet. It was big and had a generous portion of brisket. It could have been spicier for my taste, but that’s just a personal preference. The coffee was fresh with good flavor. I sat at a window overlooking a courtyard.

It is a unique restaurant with falvorful yet healthy options. The sides are not an after thought but beautifully prepared like huge asparagus and saute broccolini. It is appropiate for hospital patients and companions. Even serving broth for those with food restrictions.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Eggs cooked to order, omelets, smoked salmon, bacon, sausage, biscuits, fresh fruit and more. Service was good and the price reasonable for a hotel buffet. This is also a full service restaurant with a bar and menu items. I was very impressed.

APICIUS is my HAPPY place when I am staying at the Rotary House! Latarsha and her team have become like family through the many years! My birthday 2-14-52 has been spent with them for way too many to count and the countless “surprises” they have offered up are some of my best life memories! A big shout out to Yolanda & Rivet for all the many kindnesses they showed to us as our servers as well as Kim, our photographer that figured out a clever way to include herself in the shot and Latarsha most especially the Manager who gave us that VIP status that made us feel so loved last night. In an environment like this where most of the patrons are sick, she and her staff are like “Angels” that go way over the call of duty to give you that super special dining experience that for the moment takes you away from your current situation of being the “patient”! Thanks to ALL for your tremendous effort in making us feel the love and most especially bringing on the BEST food in town!! Latarsha, that Spaghetti brought on happiness to Gary that has not been seen this entire month after his 3 surgeries and for that I am eternally grateful! He can’t wait to dive into his doggie bag for dinner!

With My Love and humble Appreciation ~
Martha❤️

The atmosphere is pleasant. My lowest rating comes because the food is definitely overpriced in the last few months their food prices have increased while the portions become smaller For a small portion of country fried chicken mashed potatoes and green beans is $25 88. The owners and management needs to do better to make the prices more affordable for they’re customers who are staying in the Rotary house at MD Anderson cancer center.
