Joe, the very capable mixologist made me a smoked bourbon old fashioned. He balanced the sweet, smoke and liquor perfectly. Unfortunately, I drank it in about 4.5 minutes, rendering me very chatty.
Everyone working the shift interacted with me and made me feel really welcome.
The food was really top class with good quality products at what I think are fair prices.
I’ll be back! This is a great concept,I just wish you would open one in Zürich!
And our host and waitress Lucy! Made the night exceptionally entertaining all evening!
Highly recommend!
Only customer seated so was plenty of tables to choose from. On entering very polite and respectful manager. We sat near by the bar and service entering. We had the cold seafood platter for 2 people. I noticed in customer view that they wasa mop and bucket. This was off putting and didn’t expect it especially in a well established restaurant. I asked the staff it it could be removed from customer view. He apologise and move the mop but I’m.still could see the bucket.
In all it was a good experience. Staff were very good and food was outstanding. Definitely would visit again at the weekend where they will be more people and atmosphere.
The only thing I have to complain about is the mop and bucket been in view of the customers.
I feel that if there is 4 or 40 customers they still maintain the standards or perfection
* Beetroot Salad
* Whole Dover Sole (on the bone)
Here’s what we ordered:
Beef Tartare / Beetroot Salad
This classic dish was served with toast on the side. It was decent, but the Beetroot Salad stole the spotlight! The salad came with whipped yogurt and a sprinkle of breadcrumbs. The white beetroots, naturally sweeter, added an unexpected and delightful twist to the dish—absolutely delicious!
Whole Dover Sole (on the bone)
Our main course was visually stunning, served with loads of capers and brown shrimp. Despite the generous amount of brown butter, the capers perfectly balanced the flavours, so it didn’t feel too heavy.
Lamb Rump
I ordered the lamb rump cooked to medium, but unfortunately, it arrived fully cooked. Since I hate wasting food, I decided to enjoy it as it was rather than requesting a replacement.
I had one of the best Sunday roast here as well. Might I add that you can find some really wonderful desserts – everything leaves me wanting for more. Already been here twice, would highly recommend it. Service crew is really lovely. No complaints!
Flawless food . Your orange wine was very tasty. We ordered Mussels, Seafood platter , Bread , Fillet Steak and a Scallop were all beyond expectations.
The only issue is customer service . The staff could have been more knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I had to ask for more napkins, our wine was put inside the wine bucket and the girl who served us didn’t bother to come again to help us emptying the bottle. We had to pour it ourselves for the 3 time( she topped it up only once). We ordered bread and it didn’t arrive with our starters and we had to order it again later. I had to ask for a bowl for my seafood shells. Staff didn’t know much about food that’s on the menu(oyster origin).
On the other hand the wine waiter working today knew a lot about wine so it helped to bring back the positive vibe to this particular experience.
Thank you very much. I hope this review will be helpful for others (including the manager).
I am planning to come back soon. Hopefully those issues won’t happend again
Still enjoyed oysters and drinks.
