Everything I ordered made me satisfied!
My most favorite was lobster bisque. You want to try it! It’s is next level. When you start eating their risotto, you can’t stop eating until it’s gone. Fish is fresh and very delicious. Traverse city has amazing water quality, so having fishes with their water makes so fresh! I highly recommend this place! The service also very nice! I really enjoyed this restaurant. Thank you!
The food took some time to be ready too… not a good experience
1. Our waiter, Vincent, was really attentive, kind, and did an amazing job.
2. The house-made desserts (but only the house-made ones) were delicious.
3. The calamari was fantastic – not drenched in batter; flavorful; not chewy.
4. Onion soup and lobster bisque were good (not incredible, but good).
Cons:
1. Their online wait list is a lie. We were told that there was no wait; put ourselves on the wait list just in case, and arrived within 5 minutes of our appointed time. We ended waiting over 35 minutes.
2. We were very disappointed to see the menu changed so drastically. Many of our favorites were no longer available (twin medallion filets; whitefish paté; brie cheese dip; the complimentary bread with balsamic and olive oil, to name a few. I know some were phased out a while ago, some were removed recently.). It seems that they cut costs for themselves while raising prices for the customer, and taking out many “fan favorites” was a mistake.
3. The prime rib had so much fat on it that half of it was inedible.
4. The walleye special wasn’t delicious. It lacked seasoning. The green beans that came along with it were not seasoned with anything at all, not even salt. Come on, do better.
5. The risotto side was way too creamy and lacked development.
6. The overall wait for the food to come out was insane!!! I don’t mind a wait between appetizers and entrees, but being at a restaurant for 2 hours just due to waiting for the food was too much. (In Europe, I’d be used to that. But not here.)
Overall, being a seasoned customer, I’m disappointed with the quality and quantity of everything. The service was amazing, but it doesn’t/shouldn’t make up for the restaurant itself.
