This spot is super clean, modern & a quiet atmosphere where you can really enjoy a meal & have a conversation not competing w/ music. It’s a lovely Japanese restaurant that is female owned & there is meticulous effort in ensuring their sushi is super fresh. I recommend the entire menu. Have been there many many times. Everything is incredibly fresh.

What a culinary delight! For so very long we overlooked this restaurant and finally decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed at all. The salad was fresh, colorful and crunchy. We had the basil filet mignon, shrimp/vegetable tempura, chicken teriyaki and rice both, brown and white— amazingly delicious food- we couldn’t stop with the mmmm, and yum! The tempura was great!
The gyozas were stuffed with pork and they traveled well too. The eggplant miso was different for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. As for the black cod— my lease favorite. I would not have that again, everything else was top tier!

Delicious food, I had the shrimp rock tempura and the chicken skewers and they were perfect. Our server Allan was very attentive as we sat down he came very quickly with hand wipes and lemon water which I love, most places you have to ask for the lemon water. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning pretty soon!

Great lunch special, reasonable prices and very good miso soup. We went there few times for dinner and love to sit at sushi bar observing chefs making our sushi. The fish is very fresh and delicious . Love the hot towels too before they serve the meal. Overall truly enjoyable experience as a customer and our kids love it too.

This cozy Japanese Sushi restaurant is warm and welcoming. Located in the heart of Riverdale along the commercial corridor this establishment serves up fresh sushi and other dishes.
We ordered a range of sushi which was filling and very tasty. There is not ambient music of any kind so you can hear the conversations of others close by which isn’t fun while you’re having dinner and trying to have your own conversation.
Soda refills aren’t free and dinner for two can cost anywhere between $55 to $60 without any alcoholic beverages.
If you’re craving sushi and want to stay in the neighborhood try out Aoyu Sushi.

Aoyu sushi has a high quality level of sushi for an affordable price that one would not think you could get in the Bronx. Normally, you would expect Manhattan or queens to have great sushi. But here, tucked away in Riverdale, I was served an amazing Omakase. The fish fell apart like butter, was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully dressed.
The service itself was great, too. Albeit, I came in on a quiet night but they were very attentive to me. The miso soup was also wonderful – not too salty and didn’t taste like the pre-packaged kind. I would definitely come here again!

Beautiful place. Celebrated my son’s birthday. Everything was good. I find the food off with the taste. Just mild not up to par with other sushi restaurants. But good to try. The fried ice cream was not good. Pass on that.

Crazy that their omakase set for takeout is only 60 dollars and the fish is flown in from Totsuya fish market. Incredibly generous servings and the quality of the fish is superb. I was in actual shock when I took the first bite. The rice is alright, but the star of the show is always the fish so it doesn’t really matter. So impressed by their supreme sushi and sashimi set. Better than some omakase spots in manhattan. So delicious and so close to home too I can’t wait to return.
