One of my favorite sushi places in the neighborhood, always friendly staff, always delicious and fresh food including their sushi. The place isn’t very large and is quite cozy which adds to the overall atmosphere. Have been here several times ans probably would be here more often if I could. Know the owner, from earlier days and he and his wife are always so friendly and warm. Enjoyed fresh sushi as well as their eggplant and agedashi tofu.

I ordered the vegetarian sushi for lunch and it was really good! It had a creative and tasty variety of different types of sushi. It came with miso soup and a salad, both also very tasty. Friendly, quick service. Not the cheapest prices (where is anymore?) but definitely worth it.

We absolutely love this place! Been here twice in the last couple months and it has easily earned a spot in our favorites rotation! The staff is very friendly and service is fast and efficient. Both times we sat at the sushi bar as I love watching them prepare the sushi. I loved all the unique appetizers we ordered, and the sushi was fresh and high quality! Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We got a mix of sushi and small plates. The sushi was really good and we’ll be back to try more! The small plate options we tried were good too, but some I’ve had better elsewhere, so that is why I minused a star, but overall it was a good experience!

The absolute best sushi and Japanese restaurant in all of Boulder. If you want authentic Izakaya style food and service this is the place! I could not recommend them more. And you absolutely must try the sesame ice cream!

I cannot say enough good things about the restaurant, and i have been to japan about a dozen times. First, the service has been flawless each time I have gone and all employees seem very invested in their jobs (and doing it the best). The sushi is excellent and it’s obvious that they have a great provider and take pride in that. The appetizers here are not to be skipped as there is much attention put to making these dishes as they are in Japan and not American-ized like others in town. And last, it’s hard not to be in a good mood with the buzzing atmosphere and well designed rooms. Checks all boxes for me. Solo diners – sit at the sushi bar, it’s dinner AND a show 🙂

This is good sushi, period! The fish is extremely fresh. I don’t know if they have a cave-cove in the back or what, but it’s the tastiest fish west of LA.
It’s the closest sushi restaurant to our house, so we visited a few times the first year they opened. During the first year of the pandemic, we did takeout.
Always delicious and beautiful plates with great service.
Sometime during the pandemic, the restaurant decided to add a substantial extra charge. It’s understandable to keep the high standard of their food and take care of their staff. However, the amount is higher than any other restaurant in town. I honestly would have preferred to have the food prices go up instead of having an additional cost surprise me on my bill.
My boss gave me a gift card that could have stretched to 2 meals for my husband and I, but it actually only covered one outing due to the extra cost.
My favorite items to order are the tuna nigiri and the avocado roll. You haven’t had vegan roll like this! The rice is always perfect and the seaweed is actually chewable.
Each time someone new walks in the door, the chefs say hello from the sushi bar. I really like that. 🙂
It’s been a busy time since their opening, so I hope they stay around for years to come.

Loved the food here. I was able to sit at the sushi bar which is definitely a treat if you are able to get it. It’s very busy, so either go super early or be prepared to wait.
The sushi was fresh and delicious.
I also ordered the fish collar which was fatty and delicious.
It is on the pricey side, but I would argue good sushi in the mountains is going to be.
Loved it here and would go again.

staff was awesome, the sushi chefs greeted us enthusiastically when we walked in. it’s a cool little place with a lot of charm. food was yum. the mochi with shrimp and scallop could’ve been smaller since the shape was a little inconvenient to eat. however everything else was super good! give this place a try!
