They serve a wide variety of Korean–Japanese fusion dishes, using fresh ingredients with bold flavors and beautiful presentation.
Highly recommend the Beef Short Ribs — insanely tender and juicy, plus the staff cooks it for you
Another must-order is the Clam & Flour Dough Flake Soup — loaded with clams and packed with deep umami flavor. Absolutely perfect for cozy weather.
I’ve tried several dishes here: Uni Buckwheat Noodles, Old-Fashioned Fried Chicken, Clam sujebi (수제비) , Spicy Seafood Stew, Beef Tartare, and Sweet Potato Fries. The Uni Buckwheat Noodles taste luxurious—perfect if you want a refreshing, pasta-like dish. The Old-Fashioned Fried Chicken takes a little time to cook, but it’s totally worth the wait—they even cut it for you! The Handmade Dumpling Soup is so 얼큰 and flavorful you might find yourself reaching for a whole bottle of soju, and their soups always come in very generous portions. The Spicy Seafood Stew is huge and packed with fresh seafood—it’s definitely worth the price. Sweet potatoe fries and beef tartare is a good option for side dishes. We got a service I think the name was seafood avocado but that was def would be a great side dish when drinking wine.
The service is excellent too. I dropped my fork once, and someone immediately brought me a new one—attentive service like that really makes a difference.
The vibe of the restaurant strikes a perfect balance between elegance and casual comfort. It’s great for a casual date, a team outing, or just a relaxed night out.
I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Anytime Kitchen to my friends. This place is a hidden gem that hits all the right notes!

The atmosphere is modern and chic, which was a lovely backdrop for our special occasion. Our table was ready and waiting when we arrived, and we were directed to a QR code to view the menu.
The Food
Our waiter, Dan, was helpful with our order. We may have over-ordered, but we enjoyed every dish. We started with the soft-shell crab appetizer ($18), which was lightly breaded, deep-fried, and not at all greasy—a perfect portion for two.
For our main courses, we had the short rib ($44), which was expertly cooked tableside by Dan. It was tender, perfectly presented, and cooked exactly to our liking (medium-rare). We also ordered the sashimi dinner ($70), which featured 21 pieces of very fresh, high-quality fish in an adequate portion. The final dish was the corn chicken ($20), which consisted of breaded chicken pieces topped with corn and heavy mozzarella cheese. While it was a popular dish, it felt more like pub food than something for an anniversary dinner.
The Experience and Policy Issue
While the food was excellent, the service experience left a sour taste. The restaurant did not offer any special acknowledgment for our anniversary. However, the most disappointing part of the evening came when we politely asked to take our unfinished bottle of wine home. Our waiter, Dan, informed us this was “illegal.” He brought over the manager, who repeated the same policy, offering to hold the wine for us for 15 days instead.
I was surprised, as I’ve been to many restaurants in New Jersey that are happy to seal an unfinished bottle in a “Wine Doggie Bag” as per state law (see picture). Even after showing them the official NJ government policy (NJ Law) on my phone, they simply shrugged it off. I was forced to finish the wine grudgingly. I hope management sees this review and rectifies this policy with their staff to prevent future misunderstandings.
A final note for anyone booking: there is a $5 per-person charge for no-shows when booking through Resy. If you BYOB the corking fee is $35 per bottle.
Overall 3.5 stars
The food was good and the initial service was okay, but the management’s lack of understanding of state policy and the overall experience left a negative impression. I would go back if they corrected their policy to comply with the New Jersey ‘Wine Doggie Bag’ law
I’d recommend coming here for some beer or soju rather than a full dinner
