OMG SO SO SO GOOD. This is not a full blown stop and eat restaurant. You walk in, order, and take in to-go containers. There is seating right next to the little place, or take to-go the beach and sit at picnic tables!
All our food was delicious. I have pictures of what we ordered but I don’t remember all the orders.
I know someone in our group ordered avocado toast and it came on chibatta bread I think, and it was more like a guac sandwhich, not sliced, so if you love avocado, you shouldn’t be dissapointed with the amount on your bread. All the eggs were cooked fabulously. All the fried rice bowls to die for. I almost forgot, we ordered the French toast with the lemon and Lilikoi curd, different, but totally worth getting and trying, super good, making my mouth water thinking about it.

Service was fast and friendly. The bread was thick and soft. Liked the eggs and sausage. Haupia topping was light in coconut flavor. Went here because of the haupia topping. Not sure if anyone remembers okis diner with pancakes topped with warm haupia sauce. Miss that. Good breakfast and worth the travel from Lihue.

Perhaps the best omelet I’ve ever had! The Shark is a must have — three eggs, bacon bits, Portuguese sausage bits and Kalua pork, with shredded cheese. To die for! And comes with a side of overnight oats with mango. Incredible.

My wife had the avocado toast…she said it was amazing.

Only one table to eat at, so “get cozy” and sit next to others who will join you.

Solid spot.
My partner got the Kalua Pork Fried Rice and was disappointed that the rice wasn’t what most people know as Chinese fried rice – the texture wasn’t the same, and was more like rice grilled on one side. It was still very good.
I got the Surfer Bowl without the cheese sauce, and it was incredible.

Highly recommend.

It was a Monday morning and there were a small queue, we probably waited for 10 minutes or so which was we didn’t mind.

We ordered the Shark omelette and the Surfer Bowl, I devoured the Surfer Bowl so fast and forgot to take a photo! Honestly both dishes were above our expectation, especially the Surfer Bowel that was an incredibly delicious splash of energy to start the day, the jalapeno really added so much flavours, two thumbs up!

A great spot for brunch/lunch! I ordered the vegetarian omelet which was very well seasoned! It also came with overnight oats and a bit of cantaloupe. The service was friendly. There is not a lot of seating at the café but there are places to sit around the plaza. The prices are very reasonable for the island.

Really great fast casual breakfast spot. Especially for those looking for a healthy whole breakfast. I’d recommend the veggie omelette (Mea Kanu) – it’s a really nutritious meal and comes with over night oats w/ fruit! add some avocado on the side & you got an extra nutritious whole food meal , micro & macro nutrients & all

The only thing that disappointed me was they didn’t open until 8 so I wasn’t able to get it again before we left as I wanted because we would leave early to other parts of the island.

Went here twice for breakfast and it was consistently delicious! The food is flavorful, seasoned perfectly and the eggs are incredibly fluffy. Even our picky toddler ate an entire portion of scrambled eggs! We loved the surfer’s bowl, the tube ride, the mea kanu and the rip ride 🙂 don’t skip out on their cold brew either because it was one of the best we’ve had on the island.

The service is quick and friendly. There are two tables with benches you can use to eat right next to the restaurant.

Excellent food and an awesome experience. Very friendly owner of the establishment. He helped with connecting us with other nearby resources and fun activities. Really great experience overall. Coffee was fantastic as well. We’re on Kaua’i for 6 more days and we’ll be back to the Anuenue Cafe several more times while we’re here.

Only takeout!

We stopped by and tried the sugar cane juice, which was refreshing and enjoyable! For breakfast, we ordered the French toast and an omelette. While the food was good, I was a bit disappointed by their policy on substitutions. We asked to have the bacon removed from the omelette and to add fruit instead, and they informed us this would cost an extra $2. Charging extra for such a simple substitution felt unreasonable to me.

Overall, the food itself was good, but the substitution policy left a less-than-ideal impression.
