Long-running, no-frills small chain serving pizzas, heros & red-sauce Italian staples.

Hands down, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I want to start by extending my compliments to the chef. Best chicken franchise, penne vodka , chicken parm and honestly the whole menu is so good. My stomach and my taste buds were thoroughly pleased.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your pizzeria, which now appears to be under new management. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
I ordered a cheese slice, which cost $4.20. When I got home and opened the box, I was quite disappointed to find that the cheese was spilling over and there was barely any sauce on the slice. The quality was not what I expected.
Upon entering the pizzeria, I immediately noticed the change in management. The individual in charge was extremely loud, greeting everyone as if they were deaf. He was also loudly discussing with the staff about not taking things personally and explaining how a business should be run. This was quite off-putting.
As I was taking my order to go, I stood up to let the staff know. However, the person in charge told me to sit down as they would bring all slices to the table. I found this quite disrespectful. How dare you tell a customer to sit down?
Given this experience, I do not plan on returning to your pizzeria. I hope you take this feedback into consideration to improve your service and quality.

We were stuck in Poughkeepsie waiting for better weather. Decided to find a local Italian restaurant for some comfort food.
We gave Antonella’s a try and we’re not disappointed. The place is small and homey. We were warmly greeted and placed an order at the counter for dine in.
We went with the eggplant Parmigiana and the chicken Parmigiana dinner plates, which both came with a side of pasta. To say the portions are generous would be an understatement.
Simple, well prepared, homey meals with good flavor. We finished the meal with two mini cannolies, that were pretty authentic.
This place is a bit of self service. You order from the counter and they will deliver the food. The napkins, forks and knives and condiments were kept on a table near the front of the store and we retrieved them ourselves.
Friendly folks work here and they made us feel comfortable and welcomed like we were part of the family.

My boyfriend has been a die hard fan of this restaurant for quite some time, as he grew up in Poughkeepsie. Anytime he wants pizza, Antonellas is always his first choice. That was until tonight. I thought the Caesar dressing looked a little odd as it was very thick. I opened it and couldn’t help but notice it smelled like mayonnaise. I gave it a try and sure enough, it tasted exactly like mayo, and being a southern girl, I distinctly know when it’s mayo. And the pizza
We may be mistaken, but we can’t help but feel it seems as if someone took a meatball out of some sauce and had thrown it onto some dough. Needless to say, my boyfriend was heartbroken over not being able to eat his pizza. And my shrimp!! I used to be a vegetarian, so some may not be deterred, but there were literal chunks of shrimp poo scattered throughout the plate. Needless to say, our spontaneous DoorDash night turned into us still being hungry

We’ve ordered from here regularly since moving to Dutchess nearly 5 years ago after trying many places and found this to be the best pizza in the area. Sadly, it seems that they’ve changed ownership within the past few months and our last two orders were disappointing. A few weeks ago, we were in the mood for a sausage pie and when my husband got home, the pizza was a sloppy mess. The cheese was sliding off all over the place like it should have been cooked more and the presentation of the pizza was awful. If we weren’t so hungry, we would’ve brought it back. Decided to order again tonight and this time we had the opposite problem. I opened the box and said “what the heck?” My husband joked that they confused our order with someone who wanted their pizza extra crispy. The crust was visibly burned in several places and was overcooked this time. I ordered a chicken entrée which no longer comes with a salad. The employee told my husband that they lowered the prices and the salad was an additional charge. The menu that I have at home may be outdated but it shows the same $17.95 for the entrée, including a salad. I don’t care about a salad necessarily and I understand food prices have gone up, but it feels dishonest. I guess our love affair with Antonellas has come to an end.

Loud music. When I asked they had cheese slices with bacon on it The guy behind the counter said “no” with a nasty attitude and the blonde lady said “yes, we can put bacon on it” so I asked for one slice of bacon and three plain. He then ushered me over to the counter to get my food. He proceeded to hand me 3 at once on no tray so I took 2 and took 2 trips. I asked for regular fork and knife instead of plastic because plastic melts the pizza he again said “nope” the lady was texting so she didn’t over hear. I had my 6 year old daughter with me. She went up to ask for Parmesan cheese because it wasn’t out he again said “no”, the lady gave my daughter A cup with Parmesan cheese. We sat down and ate our pizza. Couple minutes later a woman and a kid came in and went to him to order. He gave the kid a nasty look. I have the picture to show everyone how nasty his look was to the kid. Nasty service no one was mean to him or any of the workers. I don’t get it. If You’re having a bad day, call out to work!
