Don’t let the junkyard next door or the outside appearance make you pass this place up, this is an authentic fonda with real traditional flavor! The inside is clean and filled with charming Mexican décor. Being so close to the Mexican border, this spot was exactly what we were hoping for. The migas were excellent and the homemade flour tortillas were absolute perfection. Even the clay dishes they use added to the authenticity and overall experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back next time we’re in Harlingen.

Been going to this place for sometime food was great! recently the quality has gone done. Oatmeal watered down no flavor. Potato egg taco hardly any egg but mostly potato.

Great food. Better than most Mexican food in the valley. The rice was really good. Waitress gave us the menu in Spanish, which we understood then she spoke perfect English. She was very friendly. Atmosphere was great. Not much room in the diningroom.

I ordered two orders of tacos which came out to a little over $18. I didn’t get the charro beans because they ran out but still charged me full price for the combo. They gave me not even half a ramekin of salsa. I wanted to give a local business a chance but never coming back and def not recommending.
