The soups have an OK taste Passable the only thing is for $18 to get not even an inch of corn and a piece of meat. They need to put more meat in his plate for being $18. It’s not worth it.

First time here and the experience was disappointing. Horrible customer service. We ordered a beef soup and could barely try it because it smelled like the beef had gone bad. The baleadas were ok, but overall we wouldn’t come back again.

I just moved to Charlotte a month or so ago and I have been going around looking for some good spots.
I have been here three times now. The first two times, they were excellent. I had the tacos Dorados To go, and even when I got home, they were still fresh, the salad on top Was crunchy, and everything was extremely flavorful.
The young lady upfront is always very kind and very helpful.
I waited for two weeks to be able to get the soup which they only have on the weekend. I wasn’t feeling well, so I was very excited to finally try the Sopa de Gallina. (Chicken soup)
I got home and when I opened up the box, there was one single Chicken thigh. It had probably one or two bites of chicken on it. I was also given a container of broth, but it was filled with zucchini and one potato.
I understand cultural variations. I really do. I know that zucchini and chicken noodle soup is not typical for us in the United States so that is not my issue.
My issue is, I spent $18.95 on chicken soup and I got less than 3 ounces of chicken in my soup.
I went into the restaurant to ask about what happened and that nice young lady upfront just said yes, that’s just sometimes how the chicken comes out.
I get it, I’m an outsider, I’m not from around here. However, the lady recognized me because I had been there two other times in the past two weeks.
I came in with a legitimate, genuine concern about the amount of money I spent versus the food that I got and I received little if any care or concern in return.
Given this day and age, and the economic situation that many of us face, I find it hard to justify going there again and spending nearly $20 if I’m not going to get an adequate amount of food in return.
I really had very high hopes for this place. I did not expect a refund, I did not expect to get anything free in return. Because I had been there twice before, I thought that we had at least developed a little bit of a rapport. Because, she did recognize me. She said welcome back. While I did not expect monetary compensation, I would have at least liked an apology. Which I didn’t get.
I might go back but it won’t be for a while. I cent justify spending $20 on chicken broth and zuccini.

The food is amazing. I had some pupusas and pollo con tajadas and they were both incredible! Definitely coming back again!

We tried the Pupusas and they were really good and stuffed well! My husband tried the Carne Asada tacos and he liked them as well. They are a bit small but worth it. We will be going back!
