Authentic neighborhood bakery around since 1954! In search of the seasonal zeppole and Antoine’s did not disappoint! They make them fresh every day during the season. From the pastry to the cream filling and real cherries on top this was such a delicious pastry! Friendly service as well!

I love Antoine’s! They’re a genuine French Italian bakery located in the Lake District of Newton Massachusetts for over 50 years. They are kind d friendly, that’s just the type of Bakery you want to go to over and over and keep visiting them just to see them and then get some of their sweet treats. I talked to the owner and he showed me the immigration / passport his sister got and coming into the United States somewhere around 1947 via Montreal. They make French and Italian bread, cakes, cookies and various desserts. This place is a staple of Newton. I highly recommend Antoine’s.

This is mainly about custom cakes from Antoines, but I found it hard to not talk about other things.
Antoine’s a neighborhood staple. Kids playing by the nearby Sterns Park will swing by (who are we kidding, it’s the parents) to grab their favorite sweet pastry.
If anything were to happen to this bakery I’m sure all the Nonantum neighbors would bring out the pitchforks just as fast as we would paint over the street markings in green, white, and red.
Personally, we have a little artist in the family and this is where her designs come to life.
Looking for a birthday surprise? Antoine’s does do photo-printed cake and the prices are comparable if not better than the supermarkets that offer various photocake sizes in MA. The design is edible ink on a thin sheet of sugar paper. My kids swear that they have the tastiest frosting but for me?
I’m a creamy puffs or lobster tails kind of guy. If you’re lucky you’ll catch a fresh batch around noon.
I enjoy an occasional cannoli but not enough to compare Antoine’s with Mike’s Pastry or Modern.
About to visit a friend from another town? Bring some pastries from Antoine. Did I mention the lobster tail?

Using their expertise, they guided me on what would be best for having a cake that can be decorated safely while still being able to get a whipped cream cake . They have excellent aesthetic sense and unparalleled expertise. We couldn’t have been happier.

I ordered my daughter’s birthday cake here and it turned out beautiful and delicious! My daughter had ideas of her own and while not every idea could be incorporated, they let us know ahead of time what was doable, what wasn’t and what was a maybe. Everyone was always courteous and friendly. Wait times were long both times we went there. But everything worked out well in the grand scheme of things. Will definitely consider ordering again for future events.

I absolutely love Antoine’s. Their pastries are always fresh and it’s got such a wonderful atmosphere. Bostonians fight over mikes, modern, bovas. I’m happy living down the street from this place which, in my correct opinion, is honestly better. Best lobster tails btw

Amazing experience! I was looking for a birthday cake day-of for a friend, and they were able to make it for us despite the last-minute request and allergy accommodation. The cake was beautiful, reasonably priced, and tasted SO GOOD too!

It took all of my willpower to not say “ one of everything!” Ended up getting 2 Canolli, some fresh croissants, and a carrot cake cupcake for me and a red velvet cupcake for my wife. Everything was amazing. We haven’t been able to find a good croissant since visiting France. Until now. Highly recommend.
Also staff was warm and friendly, a rarity in this day and age!

I’ve purchased desserts at Antoine’s several times and they are always fresh and delicious. The staff is amazing, kind and calm under pressure. They also had pumpkin pie available the day before Thanksgiving, even though I didn’t place a pre-order. Highly recommend!
