Someone recommended this place to us, and it did not disappoint. Very good pasta (they had vegetarian options), and I thought the portions were fairly big and also reasonably priced. We will be back! No wait, and we were in and out fairly quickly (I believe within an hour).

I went with my family on a Tuesday evening. The place was not busy. It was a very nice atmosphere. I ordered the Pollo Marsala and the sauce was amazing. If you love mushrooms…this is a definite must order. The food was very flavorful, delicious, chicken was not over cooked. I definitely recommend this Italian Restaurant to anyone. You will not regret the visit.

This place is a gem. Tucked away in a busy shopping complex the unassuming eatery serves true Italian fare. Classic dishes of veal, pasta and fish. Even my grandmother’s bacalla is on the menu. We recently tried Antico Italian Restaurant for the first time, having high expectations as fans of familiar chains like Olive Garden. The restaurant has a charming ambiance and wasn’t too busy when we visited.
Service was prompt, but we were surprised by the packaged butter with the bread, especially for an Italian restaurant. The bread’s crust was also a bit too thick for our taste.
Our entrees had mixed results. The Capellini Al Pesto with Shrimp was delicious! They kindly removed the shrimp tails per our request, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced.
Unfortunately, the Chicken Marsala was a disappointment. The chicken breasts were overly thick, making the dish feel under-sauced. The sauce itself was watery, and the mushrooms felt a touch undercooked.
I’d suggest the restaurant consider cutting the chicken breasts thinner to better absorb the sauce and thickening the sauce itself for a richer flavor.
Overall, while the Capellini Al Pesto was fantastic, the Chicken Marsala left us underwhelmed. We’re unsure if we’ll return, but if we do, it would be strictly for that wonderful pesto pasta!

I decided to dine here with my sister and I will not be coming back. We were excited wanting to try a new Italian restaurant in Charlotte but we had to wait over an hour for our food. Our server was nice but she seemed pretty inexperience, but it was decently busy so that could’ve played a major role. Not only did we wait over an hour for our food for just two people, but it did not taste flavorful as well. I wouldn’t mind waiting for such a time period if the food would make up for it. Overall, I will not be coming back and I’ll be trying other Italian restaurants. I understand the restaurant is small but I hope they do a better job in managing foot-traffic for the future.

This place is very clean and the tables are well organized. The Pollo Parmesan is an excellent choice of food. It is a family setting for well behave kids. The servers are friend although if you are single person, it can a tiny bit lonely waiting. There is no music playing like the Olive Garden. The food is much better here.

Took a group here for the first time and was delighted with the service and food. The group could not stop talking about it even the next day. We all had the specials that day which were salmon and separately a veal dish. There was plenty of food, presentation was perfect and our waitress was very attentive. I wish I lived in the area because this would be my go to place for Italian. I will be back however. Great job Antico.

Small (ish) or cozy place. Seating was comfortable, not cramped. Food was very good with generous portions. My leftover chicken parm was excellent for lunch the next day. Will definitely return.

The last three times have been an utter disappointment. Wow, I’ve recommended this place to SO many people, not to mention this used to be our go to spot. Will be taking a break- hopefully they can get not only the food but the service together.
Quality of dishes has suffered. I have photos of what it was like 6+ months ago vs the last 3 months. The dish had almost NO sauce. Had to ask
For extra & the guy was RUDE “ it will take at least 12 minutes to get you more” meanwhile he let me sit there with my cold food to wait. While my husband finished his food & this was our Valentine’s Day celebration. The people next to us got there well after us & ordered after us but got food before us.
I get that places and people have off days. When it’s a frequent issue then it’s a problem.. We get passed over for service constantly & when asking for items we never receive in a time manner& have to ask more than once.
The owner has had to fix issues when only bringing it to her attention ( which was wonderful when she is there)
I don’t mind spending the money on good food & service but when we are sitting there for over 2 hours with issues it makes us not want to come back.
Will not be recommending for a while.
