Yes, it is true, this place has awesome pizza, probably the best in Venice. Don’t let the thickness of the pizza convince you otherwise, it’s actually very soft and light biting in air. When you order slices, they give them a little toasting, and then they are so delicious. Better than a thin crust. I loved it, had it our first night in Venice, and then again a couple of nights later. My wife and I loved it so much, we went back the same night for a second order! Super friendly staff too. Yeah, it can get busy, but my wife and I ordered a glass of wine and beer and chilled outside waiting for our food, and we had takeaway twice in one night.

Amazing place with a few options but everyone will find somebody themselves. There is around 6-7 pizza options, few vegetarians and few with meat. Pizza is very tasty, made on the yummy and crunchy crust, rich with flavour. It’s quite difficult to find a place inside although you can grab a slice and walk around the city. Definitely must try while in Venice.

Wow—hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Venice! We stopped at Antico Forno, it completely exceeded expectations. The pizza here is on another level—the texture of the bread alone was unforgettable: perfectly crunchy on the bottom, yet soft and fluffy in the middle. Truly the ideal bite.

We tried several different slices, and each one was bursting with flavor. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high quality, from the cheese to the toppings. Every slice had its own unique taste, but all of them were absolutely delicious.

Compared to many of the tourist-heavy restaurants in Venice where you might pay double for mediocre quality, Antico Forno is a gem—great value, authentic taste, and fast service. If you’re in Venice and want real Italian pizza done right, this is the place. Don’t miss it!

Was initially a little skeptical considering how thick the crust was, but wow – really good pizza. At €5.50/slice, prices aren’t exactly cheap compared to other pizzerias in Venice/Italy, but worth the price paid. The slices are also quite big. Very friendly staff who are happy to heat up your selection for dine in. There are only about 8 seats (bar stools) but I was lucky it wasn’t busy. Had the mushroom with ham and also the prosciutto. Both were quite delightful. If you’re looking for something quick and good, I’d recommend this pizzeria.

Easily our favorite pizza place in Venice. The dough is thick but airy, the toppings full of flavor — Diavola was perfect. On our second visit, we arrived just before closing, ordered one slice, then another, and they even gifted us half a slice — such lovely people. We paid around €11 the first time and €17 the second. If our hotel were closer, we’d probably have eaten there every day.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many over 52 years in lots of different countries). We loved it so much we went twice during our three-day trip to Venice. We ordered the freshly made, thin-crust pizzas rather than the thicker ones on display.

We loved our pizza from Antico Forno! The crust had a nice crunch and the selections of toppings were amazing. I enjoyed the sun -dried tomato, mushroom, eggplant and ricotta. You’ve got to try it! The restaurant is small but they will gladly give you to go plates and it was easy to eat leaning in a shady corner of beautiful Venice! Don’t miss Antico Forno Venezia!

20 years ago, I stumbled upon this pizza joint. I was blown away by it. I’ve never knew that tomato paste and cheese on dough could taste so good.

Im back after 2 decades and so glad they are still here! Still the same experience, crispy dough, tomato and cheese… still mind blowing…

Seriously I’ve had a good amount of pizzas but this is way up at #1 for me.

I’m from New York City and they have one of the best pizza that I’ve ever had hands-down. They also have a lot of colorful, thick crusted slices on display and after 12 o’clock, it gets super packed because that’s how good it is. The beautiful lady who runs the shop has amazing energy and also gave me a slice of salami with my pizza. It’s in the heart of Venice and has wonderful lovely music playing. Beautiful ambience and I will definitely come back to this exact spot when I return

Stopped by for some takeout pizza for lunch. The slice of pizza I got was absolutely amazing. Was ready very quick, and I got here around opening so there was absolutely no wait. Seems like a great place to visit in Venice that is affordable.
