We recently visited Antica Pizzeria & Ristorante on Victoria Avenue for dinner. Our experience was a blend of excellent service and mixed culinary results.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the wood-fired pizza.

We ordered the Margherita and the Bianca; both were delicious, featuring a perfectly charred crust and high-quality toppings. The Bianca, in particular, offered a great balance of flavors with the goat cheese and balsamic reduction.

However, the pasta dishes—the Mediterranean and the Ravioli Rosé—were underwhelming. While the ingredients seemed fresh, the overall taste was average and lacked the depth of flavor we have experienced at other Italian restaurants in the Niagara area. For a price point of nearly $30 per plate, we expected a more authentic and impactful flavor profile.

On a positive note, the service was exceptional. Our server, Juliet, was professional, friendly, and very attentive throughout the meal. She truly elevated our dining experience.

Overall, while the service and pizza are top-tier, the pasta did not meet our expectations for the price. We would recommend this spot for a pizza night, but we feel there is room for improvement in their pasta kitchen.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a restaurant for dinner before leaving Niagara, it was a bit blizzardy and freezing cold. We stumbled upon this Italian restaurant on google and are SO happy we gave it a try. The pizzas were fantastic, the peach Bellini was one of the best ones I’ve had as well. The service was fantastic from start to finish, greeted politely by the owner both coming in and leaving. Our server was great from drinks to dessert. I also found the prices very reasonable especially for being walking distance from Clifton. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Niagara!

Great spot for pizza in Niagara. Reasonable prices and great tasting. The pizza had great texture and the toppings complimented well. The calamari was great and the sauce was extremely well paired. The pasta was rather bland but still solid.

We tried several dishes at Antica Restaurant & Pizzeria, including the Margherita pizza, the pear and cheese pizza, fettuccine pasta, and the gnocchi. The pizzas were enjoyable, especially knowing they are made in a real wood-fired oven, which adds great flavor. It was also nice being able to watch the chef prepare the pizzas right in front of us — a great touch and fun experience.
The pasta dishes were satisfying and well prepared, offering classic Italian comfort food.
However, the Italian soda was disappointing. It was described as tasting like root beer, but it did not resemble root beer at all and was not enjoyable. Unfortunately, we would not recommend that drink.
Overall, the food experience was mostly positive, especially the wood-fired pizzas and the open pizza oven concept, but skip the Italian soda.

The first time we visited, the food was amazing, but the service was a bit concerning. We noticed a piece of herb with some soil on it and asked if it could be removed. After speaking with the manager, the server returned the dish, but the herb had simply been moved to another spot, and was still there . At that point, we thought we wouldn’t come back.

However, we decided to give it another try, and we’re glad we did. The food was just as amazing, and the service this time was noticeably better. We hope this reflects a permanent improvement.

Overall, we’d recommend giving this spot a try, especially considering how consistently good their cuisine is.

Fantastic spot for great pasta and proper wood-fired pizza. The food is consistently on point, and the staff are excellent. Warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. Thank you Mackenzee!

P.S for taller guests: the chairs can feel a bit uncomfortable on the back after a while. Aside from that, everything else is spot on.

Closest thing to enjoying dinner at a family owned restaurant in central!

You may want to leave the family lexus at home, rent a fiat, get lost a couple of times on the way there for a more full experience. Just a suggestion.

The brick curved vaulted ceiling in the dining room made the acoustics authentic. As if you’re in a family restaurant wine cellar or something.

Home made style antipasti, classic pasta choices, and that amazing thin crust pizza each have that quality/attention to detail which makes the difference.

Next level when compared to big name restaurants in the area.

Bruschetta & Arancini? a must.
Bianca pizza? artwork…
spaghetti pommodoro? spot on, only pro’s get this right.

Our waitress said there’s parking next door for dining in customers up to 3 hours.

You’ll love this place!

The place is spacious with multiple sections for dining and gets quite busy. Tables turn and fill fast (tables by the window get quite drafty in the winter so try to avoid them). Food was underwhelming (e.g., pizza was on the dry side) with average portion size and touristy dining prices. Our server lacked service empathy and personality.

We had a wonderful experience at Antica.
We ordered the fettuccine pasta and a pizza—both were absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, hot, and clearly made with care.

The service was excellent: friendly, fast, and very attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Niagara. We’ll definitely be back!

I visited Antica Pizzaria for dinner during the Christmas holidays, and it was a wonderful experience! I ordered the shrimp pasta, and it was absolutely delicious – the flavors were rich and perfectly cooked. I also tried the vegetable turkey soup, and wow – I have never experienced such an aromatic, flavorful, and perfectly spiced soup. Whether you are vegetarian or non-vegetarian, this soup is a must-try!

Although I didn’t try it myself, the restaurant is also famous for its wood-fired pizzas. I highly encourage everyone to give them a try next time.

Overall, the food, ambiance, and service made for a fantastic dining experience. Antica Pizzaria is definitely one of the best spots for a family get-together. Highly recommended!
