Only complaint: ordered the Prawn Tempura on the menu states it comes with fries and “onion rings”, when our food arrived it was disappointing to only get ONE onion ring when the menu clearly states “rings” meaning more than one. When asked our server about it she stated “oh yeah they only give just one onion ring.” This is false advertising and absolutely needs to be changed on the menu or start serving more than just one onion ring when your customers expect when ordering Prawn Tempura that they are getting more than one onion ring!!
Everything else was yummy delicious and I would recommend Anthony’s ✨️8/10✨️
We had a 3:45 PM reservation for 10 people, including young children, and from the start the service was slow and inattentive. Drinks took a long time to arrive, and our server didn’t take our food order until we had already been there for OVER AND HOUR!! which is especially difficult when dining with kids.
I’ve worked in the restaurant industry my entire life, so I’m usually very patient and understanding. We truly tried to give grace and didn’t complain, but this went well beyond a busy shift or minor delays.
For a group of 10, we were very low-key and easygoing — not loud or demanding — yet it felt like we were consistently overlooked. We rarely saw our server and had to wave down other servers just to get basic service like refills or assistance.
To be clear, the food was excellent — well prepared and delicious — which honestly made the service issues even more frustrating because the kitchen clearly delivered.
What was especially disappointing was that nothing at all was done to acknowledge the engagement — no congratulations, no small gesture — despite that being the reason for our gathering.
We spent around $700 and left feeling let down. The food lived up to expectations, but the service did not, and for a special occasion, that really matters.
I am from Seattle and really do love coming to Anthony’s in Bend but no more.
The servers who have waited on me have been great but the issue at the front desk —well I can well spend my money elsewhere and I will.
I will still go to Anthony’s in the Seattle area but not in Bend OR.
It really feels a bit discriminatory toward older single women.
