I recently hosted a private dinner at Anthony David’s in Hoboken and I could not have been any happier with the entire event! From the super attentive service and staff, the delicious food, fabulous personalized cocktails, and the overall atmosphere, it was just perfect. We were even able to include live music entertainment in the space, which was also a highlight Every one of my guests that attended had rave reviews also.
I worked with Christy (Event Manager) who helped me plan everything and she was absolutely amazing. She had creative ideas, was very flexible, extremely organized, very helpful and very patient. They were also very accommodating with guests that had special dietary requirements
I would very highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a private event space.

I went to this restaurant for my mother’s birthday dinner, and we had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were perfectly made, and the service was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and welcoming — they really made me and my family feel right at home and made my mom’s birthday extra special. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, excellent drinks, and such genuine hospitality. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Came for brunch. The juice was super fresh and made the carafe of mimosas super enjoyable. The food was not as great. It was not horrible enough to send back, but it just missed the mark. The Margherita pizza tasted like store bought frozen pizza, the steak frites came over cooked and the potatoes burned. And the French toast Benedict sounded good in theory, but lacked some much needed texture other than soft. The service was fast and polite.

Another great meal at AD’s last night. One of top couple of restaurants in Hoboken. We had a big crew of 9 last night and everyone loved their meals. Definitely try the desserts. Also check out the cool new cocktail lounge next door, SRO. Room can be a little noisy so plan accordingly if anyone has hearing challenges (come early or late).

Absolutely, hands down, the best dinner we had while we were in the Jersey/ New York area for 4 nights. The intimate, sophisticated environment was only amplified by their exquisite, elevated cuisine.
The staff were SO accommodating and helpful too.

My partner and I, along with our dog, had a 5:15 PM Sunday reservation and were promptly seated at one of the many available outdoor tables. The restaurant is nestled in a tranquil, residential corner of Hoboken, making for a peaceful and pleasant people-watching experience without the disturbance of heavy traffic.

The service was a definite highlight. Our waitress was gracious and attentive throughout the meal. We were particularly touched when they brought out a disposable foil bowl of water for our dog—a small but significant gesture of hospitality that we greatly appreciated. The wine list was somewhat limited for our taste, but we were very pleased with the option of a reasonable $25 corkage fee, which allowed us to enjoy a special bottle we brought from home.

Our meal began on a high note with the appetizers. Both the Heirloom Baby Beets and the House Whipped Ricotta were excellent, showcasing fresh ingredients and balanced flavors that set a promising stage for the main courses.

However, the entrees presented a more mixed experience. The Eggplant Bolognese featured bucatini cooked to a perfect al dente, but unfortunately, the sauce seemed to sit on the surface of the pasta rather than being fully infused, leaving the dish wanting for a deeper marriage of flavors. The Crispy Rohan Duck Breast was a similar story of near-perfection. The flavor combination was lovely, with a house-made, reduced cherry demi complementing the rich duck beautifully. The letdown, however, was in the execution of the skin; despite the “crispy” descriptor on the menu, it was not rendered so.

In conclusion, Anthony David’s offers a truly wonderful atmosphere and top-notch service that make for a delightful evening. While the appetizers were flawless, the entrees, though conceptually sound, had minor flaws in execution that kept them from reaching the same heights. Would I return? I’m undecided. The service and ambiance are strong pulls, but the food gives me pause. I would certainly consider coming back to explore more of their excellent appetizers over a glass of wine, but I’d need to deliberate before committing to another full dinner.

I had the steak with potatoes and it was absolutely perfect—juicy, tender, and cooked exactly how I asked. The potatoes were the ideal side, buttery with just the right crispness. To top it off, I tried the lychee martini, and it was such a refreshing surprise—smooth, lightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. A great pairing to round out a delicious meal. Highly recommend!

I wanted to share my positive experience regarding a recent team dinner we hosted at Anthony David’s last week. We were very fortunate to reserve the private room for our corporate gathering, and the dinner was truly exceptional.

The entire experience was fantastic, and we have absolutely no complaints. The food was delicious across the board, with the Chicken Scarpariello being possibly the best chicken dish I have ever tasted. The warm donuts are also a must-try.

We owe a special thank you to Christy Phillip, who was instrumental in organizing our event. She was extremely helpful, flexible, and responsive, and worked with us to create a wonderful menu. Additionally, our waiter, Alex, provided spectacular service throughout the evening.

I highly recommend Anthony David’s, and for anyone planning a family or corporate event, I encourage you to reach out to Christy.

Catered our Christmas party with Anthony David’s and couldn’t have had a bette experience. Christy helped with all our catering options and guided us to the perfect amount of food. Food arrived on time and was set up fast and efficiently by Sylvana and Mike.
Food was amazing and Mike was the perfect server hustling the entire party so we were able to enjoy everything. People raved about the food all night. Everything was absolutely delicious. Cace di Pepe, wild boar rigatoni and shrimp scampi. Not to mention the amazing appetizers. So thankful. Couldn’t give them a higher rating. We know where we will be not only for the best Sunday brunches but every catering event we have from now on!

Excellent Hoboken restaurant. The food is fresh and well prepared: tried the pistachio crusted branzino—delicious!
The grilled octopus, tuna tartar and kale salad were great appetizers.
