I had an avocado toast and it was good, but the place was very dirty. Had crumbs on tables and chairs and the bench smelled bad. I wanted to clean the space before I sat down but there were no napkins either.

Was visiting from out of town and my first night there an employee at my hotel suggested this place. I went and loved it so much I ended up going every day I was there. The coffee was DELICIOUS. I also ate the veggie burrito one day and it was delicious. The employees were super friendly, even remembering my face and my order after my first visit! The service was fast too.

About as unpretentious as it gets. Solid drinks & well-prepared food. The gals here are all “dimes” & they serve it all up with a smile. Always stopping in when I am in T-Town!

Ernest Hemingway once venerated the importance of a “clean well-lit place,” a humble little Haven away from the chaos of the world. That is what I think of when I think of this place, with its spacious interior and warm teas and reasonable prices. It has an ideal location right at the heart of downtown Tacoma, but it is also not too overwhelmingly crowded. It is a place to stop and escape the throbbing disorientation of life and think and perhaps talk with someone you care about. I do not know if anyone would call this their favorite cafe ever or say that the tea here is exceptional: but I wager most people would say that it is a pleasant place and the food is hearty and the tea is soothing. Sometimes that is all one needs: relief, especially in a cloudy and often melancholic place like the Pacific Northwest. There is a warm, honest simplicity to this place, and from those characteristics much of its charm emerges.

I wanted to visit this coffee place for a long time and it was totally worth the wait. The cappuccino was amazing and loved every sip of my coffee. The ambiance was good too with a nice view of the waterways. The location is great too! However, the food here is average and most of their menu is unavailable. Overall I had a good time.

Good coffee shop located near the Chihuly bridge and Washington State History Museum. UW Tacoma is right in front too. I got an oatmilk cappucino and a classic avocado toast. The coffee wasn’t strong and I didn’t like it. Maybe there was just one shot of espresso in the 8oz one I got. The avocado toast was delightful and I finished it fairly quickly.

We loved the location and felt very safe here. Easy access from the University. We loooved the avocado toast and panini was heated up for us. The coffee was delicious and I believe three shots of espresso was enough.
We sat planning our trip this year and loved being able to plug in and utilize wifi too. Great spot!
