I don’t want to be critical, but it truly didn’t make me feel wowed! We tried a bunch of appetizers – whole fish that looked delicious but tasted meh! The wings were the highlight and the chapali kebab got the “I’m hungry” and hence I liked it more review. We also tried the kebabs – guntur and malai, both were okay.
Their food comes within minutes of ordering on a weekday. I’d recommend the Sheila ka jawani cocktail and pachimirchi kodi pulao, if you’re interested in trying something different. Biryani wouldn’t recommend.
Ambience and service is top notch!
I had a fantastic dining experience at Antera USA in Pleasanton! The food was incredibly flavorful and authentic, especially the appetizers. The Gobi Manchurian was perfectly crispy, and the Chicken 65 had just the right amount of spice to it. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Rayalaseema Fish Fry, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing South Indian cuisine!
Updated Review:
Second time falls below expectations, definitely not worth the price. The ambiance and hospitality is great but the food falls apart!
For appetizers, we started with the Nalgonda Mutton Fry, which was perfectly spicy with juicy, well-cooked pieces of mutton. The Cauliflower Jugalbandi was a creative and flavorful pairing—spicy, tandoori-style cauliflower served alongside mildly creamy broccoli, which balanced the heat nicely.
In the mains, we tried the Veg Kofta Curry and the Pacchimirchi Kodi Pulao—both dishes were delicious and definitely worth recommending.
Service was excellent—5 stars. We placed our entire order at once, and everything arrived at the same time, well-coordinated. The manager even offered to remake and re-serve the mains piping hot after we finished the appetizers, which was a thoughtful touch.
One note: they are still in the process of stocking their bar, so the drink presentation might not be quite there yet. For instance, my Moscow Mule was served in a regular glass instead of the traditional copper mug. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.
Overall, the food was outstanding, and the service is clearly on the right track. I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again to see how they continue to improve.
We ordered a variety of items—cocktails, juices, biryani, naan, curries, kebabs, and more. Across the board, the food was disappointing. Portions were small, especially given the high prices, and the quality didn’t match the presentation. The food looked nice, but lacked the flavor and richness you’d expect at this price point. Kebabs were good though, but still feel the quantity was too low.
Drinks were equally underwhelming – the cocktails lacked balance and depth, and didn’t feel professionally crafted. Juices were fine though.
In short, AnTeRa feels overpriced for what it delivers. While the ambience is lovely, the overall experience left us feeling that it just wasn’t worth the money. Good décor can’t make up for average food and poor value.
My friend and I visited around 9:30 PM, just before closing time, and we were still warmly welcomed. Srinivasan, who took our order, was polite, helpful, and guided us on the best dishes to try. He greeted everyone with a smile and made sure we were taken care of, even with the kitchen closing at 10 PM.
The chicken dish was delicious—well-cooked with just the right amount of spices. The goat curry was a highlight, beautifully presented with curry leaves and red chilies on top. The spice level was perfectly balanced, making it enjoyable for both kids and adults.
The presentation of the food was top-notch, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and high-quality. The seating was comfortable for groups, and the interior was nicely designed. Only suggestion: turning on all the lights would enhance the atmosphere even more—though I understand it might have been for energy-saving purposes.
Truly appreciated the hospitality and would definitely return. Highly recommended!
