Reviews
We were seated at a table directly in front of the kitchen doors – would not recommend a table here as it’s a high-traffic area.
Overall, the hostess and wait staff were nice. Some of them were still in-training, to be expected from a new restaurant.
I got the buttermilk pancake entree and my wife got a breakfast bowl. Food was good, bacon was thick and crispy (highlight of the meal).
We did notice on the menu some pricing that didn’t necessarily make sense. For example, if you “add to any entree” a half order of biscuit beignets, the price to add a half order was actually the same as a full order of beignets. Additionally, the price to “substitute” a side (like for fruit) was the same price as ordering a side of fruit without replacing anything.
My biggest gripe was the side of potatoes for $6.99. Portion was very small and were just basic potatoes.
Looking forward to returning once they have their liquor license.
We had bourbon pancake (with chicken sausage and cheese eggs) and the crawfish & shrimp omelet. The pancakes were big and fluffy and the sauce was amazing. They give you a lot of pecans and bananas. The omelet was room temp but it had good flavor. We did have a long wait but I appreciate the staff offering apple or orange juice to accommodate the wait. The staff was really nice and you could see they were trying their best.
When visiting give them some grace while they work out their kinks…i’ll try you guys again in 6 months
We ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich, and after getting home and opening our boxed food, we realized there was no gravy on the biscuit (which I know sounds minuscule but after waiting that long and getting dry food it was disappointing). The manager did offer beignets for the wait, which was appreciated, but after such a long delay we were honestly hoping for an adjustment to the meal itself.
I understand this is a new establishment and they’re still working through opening challenges, and all of the staff were honestly really nice. However, I would encourage others to wait a bit before visiting until they’ve had time to figure out their service flow. On a positive note, our server Amanda was very kind and attentive throughout the experience.
The food was good despite the long wait; however, I did find a hair in my eggs. One of the managers was very apologetic and offered to make it right, but I declined due to the extended wait.
Our assigned server was very pleasant, but she did not return to check on our table to ensure everything was satisfactory or to see if we needed anything. Another server, whose name I can’t recall, stepped in to assist us and met our needs she was truly a gem and made a big difference in our overall experience.
Additionally, one server suggested that one of our guests sit separately from the rest of our party, which we were not happy about.
