From the very first moment, the service was nothing short of exemplary. We had the pleasure of being tended to by Scarlett and Kendrick, who managed our rather formidable table with effortless grace. Despite the lively bustle, every dish arrived precisely as ordered, no small feat considering the size of our party. They remembered each selection with enviable ease, delivering not only plates but attentive and charismatic personality.
And now, the cuisine which deserves its own applause.
The soft shell crab pasta was, without exaggeration, the finest pasta I have had in recent memory. The crab, crisp and perfectly salted, offered a textural brilliance I did not know I required in my life, yet now cannot imagine living without. It did not accompany the pasta so much as elevate it.
The duck was magnificent. The salad was bright and balanced served with blue cheese dressing. The fries indulgently satisfying, and each entrée at our table worthy of admiration. We sampled a generous assortment, including the tapenade and the meatballs, and I remain undecided as to which I preferred, a rare and pleasurable dilemma.
Annunciation does not merely serve dinner; it orchestrates an experience. A live pianist accompanied our visit, and during Mardi Gras, that experience feels nothing short of theatrical.
Unbelievably, the dessert shone just as brightly! I don’t think I could go back without saving space for more flan, I had to give my compliments to the chef and beg for the recipe or some tips
There was also a chocolate mousse served alongside it. There was also some exquisitely named ice cream balls served inside a crunchy bowl. Needless to say the presentation of all of these was immaculate.
Cannot wait to come back. As I’m not a Louisiana local. I will cherish this place everytime I do come back to visit.
The service was amazing from the start. Our waiter argued with us about pecans vs peecans and it was laughter and friendliness from there. As a GA native, it’s pecans btw.
The chef served a complimentary dish while we were waiting. The drinks came out soon after. Just constant service from the staff, we didn’t even realize how long we’d been there.
I had the Soft Shell Pasta and my wife had the Shrimp Étouffée, a classic New Orleans dish. Both were amazing. You will not be disappointed giving this place a try.
I highly recommend you book a table and treat yourself!
