Looked for a spot nearby to play pool and as we walked in someone goes uhoh the cops are here. that set the mood for an awesome experience! Patrick was an absolute riot and ESPN Gary is a solid shot in pool! Everyone talks to everyone felt like a small town up north bar! And POPCORN literally on every table!!! Can’t wait to go back!

Last night we decided to try out a bar in our new neighborhood (HALES CORNERS) We stopped at ANNIES PLACE! When we walked in we where the only black people there which did not bother us because we dont SEE COLOR! We just see faces. Unfortunately we were met with angry frowns and glares. As soon as we stepped to the bar a customer says to the bartender you just let anybody in here and leaves! We ignored that! We ordered drinks and again were met with glares whispers and an all around uncomfortable environment. It became so awkward that at one point a lady came over and said dont worry about the color of your skin some people dont understand. Which only clarified what was actually going on there. We were not wanted or welcomed and OUR MONEY SPENDS THE SAME! This was an horrid experience and i will never be back!

We’ve been to Annie’s Place several times, and always enjoy it. It’s a great local bar! We stopped in for a drink on Thanksgiving before we had to go to dinner at my mother in laws house. We were happy that it was open!

Patrick (bartender, owner) is the definition of Salt of the Earth. If you want a real taste of what a good Wisconsin tavern used to be like (and frankly we need more of), check this place out. Service is outstanding because it’s personal and you don’t get any of that anywhere theses days.
