On vacation and I walked by this place thinking it would be a quiet place for dinner. Inside it was bustling. I had the fish and chips and although it was good, it was missing something as far as flavor. I would go here again. I also was able to get right in even though they were maxed out. The steak wasn’t very expensive but the quality didn’t match the price. It was extremely thick and although I ordered it medium rare, it came out undercooked and raw in the middle. The sauce also tasted like a cola, which didn’t go well with the steak. The burger was okay, but also not very special.
The waiter was friendly, but the overall atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant.

Perfect. Big portions. Juicy food and burgers.
Sides are amazing too. They have a pumpkin cheesecake that is the best I have ever had. Not to sweet and not too bland.

This place was magical! The server, the atmosphere, the drinks, and the food – oh my goodness, the food! If I could give more stars than five, I would. We had Mac and cheese bites, fried chicken, and a pear salad. It was all delicious! You won’t be disappointed if you visit soon.

The French dip is excellent… one of those dishes you think about after you leave. But what really sets Annie’s apart is the way the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It’s clear there are plenty of regulars, but even if it’s your first time, you’re treated like part of the neighborhood. Places like this don’t just serve meals, they create belonging. Annie’s does that beautifully.

Waited about 20 mins, but it was a Friday and steady. The Food was great, hot and fresh. The most amazing thing about the experience was the service. We had a guy that was awesome , he literally cut one of our parties steaks. Above and beyond. I highly recommend this place.

During a recent trip to DC, we at at Annie’s twice because it was so good. This restaurant is a staple in Dupont Circle, being here for over 75 years. I ate here many years ago and I can say it is just as good as it ever was. It’s always crowded but you can get a seat quickly. The servers are very fun and attentive to you needs. The food is very tasty and of excellent quality. They have great strong drinks too. If you like to people watch while you eat, then this is the place. Highly recommend stopping in when in the area. You will be just as impressed as we were!
