Service was good,very friendly staff. But the food is horrible I’ve eaten many places and by far they have the worst soul food I had in Jacksonville . The gravy is yellow like baby food, rice undercooked, Mac and cheese taste like craft with no flavor, collards taste like an unseasoned can version ,and the yams are basically the same. The closest I can compare the experience of eating this would be a public school lunch, except atleast schools know what the food is worth.

This is my first time eating here using DoorDash and I am very disappointed. The food was very cold, no seasoning, very dry, and not as pictured. I’ve heard people mentioned this place. I’m not impressed at all.
I ordered the special with chicken also side order of meatloaf , porkchop, and turkey wing in which nothing was as pictured. Price is good but food was mediocre.

STOP SERVING COLD OLD SALTY FOOD!!! This is not ok. There is zero passion and love in this food. How this place is still operating is beyond me. Do better or close! This has been going on for years. Why do you all think it’s ok to serve old cold food? And clearly nobody is tasting the food before it leaves the kitchen. It’s always incredibly salty. You’ve been given multiple chances and you still disappoint every single time. Ridiculous.

I have used Annie Ru’s several times now for catering. The food is always fresh, on time, and always so delicious. The portion sizes are very generous and leave my guests very satisfied! Highly recommend Annie Ru’s!

Smothered chicken was very dry, server completely ignored meat of choice request, very little to no gravy over meat and rice. Mac and cheese was good, seafood dressing was salty. Extremely disappointed.

I decided to try something new so stopped at Annie Ru’s. I spent $41.45 on a oxtail plate , a drink and a slice of cake. The service was nice and so was the atmosphere of the restaurant. Long story short, my oxtails was rubbery and unedible. My green beans were salty and my macaroni was very cold. which is unfortunate for what I paid. I will let some time pass and maybe try this spot one more time. Maybe I caught them on a back cooking day.

Amazing home cooked food. Taste just like it was cooked in my family’s kitchen. The fried fish was some of the best I’ve had in Duval. Mac n Cheese was great and greenbeans were flavorful. Peach cobbler delicious in so many ways. And the price was very affordable. Definitely eat there if you’re on that side of town and if you’re not it’s worth the drive!

Went tonight for the AYCE crabs and fixings and it was really awesome! For $40 i had all the seafood and soda i could handle. They had crabs, crawfish, fresh jumbo shrimp, mussels, corn, sausage, potatoes, boiled peanuts, eggs, and more… and everything was seasoned perfectly. I was honestly surprised.
Everyone was so nice and it wasn’t too crowded at all. They let you go up as many times as you’d like with no side eyes lol. I appreciated that they served you so there was no risk of other nasty hands touching things Enjoyed just sitting there, listening to music and eating with a friend. Will definitely be back.
